I don’t have any first hand experience with YouTubeTV or Fubo, but we have been using commercial free Hulu to replace most of our non news/local sports antenna viewing and have had NO issues for the last year. We use it on our LG Smart TV and via AppleTV. If they have a free trial maybe try it...
Several years later no regrets. I find that we rarely use our Amazon DVR. We watch news, NFL and Jeopardy live via antenna when we watch them. All other "network" TV we stream commercial free via Hulu. I'm finding a surprising amount of older TV, shows like Wild, Wild, West that aren't...
Good question Neal and I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can. If you look at the thread in your inbox you should see a row of buttons above it:
If the button on the far right says Watch try clicking on it. If it says Unwatch try toggling it to see if that restarts your notifications.
I'd like to say you see it less frequently because our fantastic moderators do such a great job of dealing with things before they get to that level, also they have more tools to work with these days things like thread bans, etc.
I'm a bit confused by your example:
So does this mean that that whenever you switch from output 2 to output 1 you have no issues and when you switch from output 1 to output 2 you have issues? Or do you only have issues on stick 1 and not stick 2?
Do you have any issues with the cable box or...
Time Life licenses content and its possible that the hard to find titles you are looking for are out of print. That is why they are only available on the secondary market (Amazon, eBay, etc.). Any current titles can be purchased directly from them. A lot of TV and Movie themes and...
Would you have additional surround speakers in addition to the ones you are using for Atmos behind your seating area? You have asked a tough question. I have heard some rooms with front Atmos enabled speakers sound fantastic, and others sound marginal, so your milage may vary. If you are...
Sam- we were the first to see the directors cut - it had never been screened before he showed it to us. In addition to introducing it, Ben actually hung around sitting in the back of the theater behind us for a large portion on the movie.
This is a definite YES for me!
Thanks Todd, this has been on my wishlist for a while too. Glad to hear it’s an upgrade. Haven’t seen it in a while, so looking forward to watching it on UHD when it arrives next week!
How often do you purchase physical discs and why do you like them?
I now purchase maybe 10 discs a year, all 4k/UHD. I like additional features: documentaries, commentaries, extended versions, etc. I used to purchase 60-75 a year but found that I was running out of storage space and when I had...
Saw it in Dolby Cinema with my wife. We really enjoyed it. Yes, there were plot holes, you could fly a F18 through, but it had the perfect amount of well-done throw backs to fans of the original, and it gets a lot of its heart from those scenes. I think that if someone hasn't seen the...
Some of it might come down to what is easier for you to do. Punching down cat5\6 is easier than crimping coax (without the right tools). Before you do anything, think about what is on the outside of your house. Is the location of your new entertainment center closer to where the comcast feed...
It's a production issue. Reviews originate as an article, AFWA originates as a forum post as there is are minimal formatting requirements. There is a template that reviewers use that requires Word Press so they can't originate in the forum. If you don't want to click twice, just visit the...
There were several in the shorts as well. Disney recalled the LDs after they shipped to retailers but before they were put on the shelves as you could see all the animators “inappropriate” gags when you went through frame by frame. Some (like the one in my collection) made it out :)
My state (WA) fully opens today. Will be interesting to see how many people still wear masks now that it’s optional. I have only been wearing when required since being fully vaccinated.
After being privately chastised by @Robert Harris for never having seen The Gunfighter - I finally had a rainy weekend where I was able to watch it. As Doug said it was a worthy addition to my westerns library. I really enjoyed it.
Here is a new clip with Ben Burtt and John Roesch discussing the foley effects behind some of the iconic sounds in the movies:
It's worth revisiting our earlier coverage of the first Blu-ray release above.
