Yeah, after being VERY critical of this machine...I've since come to realise that it was the SOFTWARE not the HARDWARE that was the problem. After seeing what a good mastering (and not the half assed rush job the first discs were) can do with Blu-Ray discs with only 25GB of space like Tears of...
I picked this up yesterday at a certain retailer and I can verify that it is a 30/9 combo release. I also got The Dirty Dozen, which includes the 1985 sequel as a bonus feature, but not in HD.
Agreed. Now that I have checked out a couple more BD releases, I think I am going to keep my Sammy. It's not bad at all. In fact it looks just as good for the most part as HD-DVD on most releases (besides 5th Element). It's only going to get better and better with BD 50 and VC-1 along with...
I have the 5th Element. It looks better than the Superbit, just not as good as it could. I believe it's due to the horrible transfer that Sony decided to use along with the mpeg2 encoding. It's filled with scratches and dirt. I've watched it a couple times now. It's not as bad as I first...
Nope, it's an across the board delay, according to posters over at AVS that have talked to their Sony reps. They said they were just informed this morning about the delay.
I have decided to keep mine until at least next week to check out the Lionsgate releases. I want to see if it really is the format that sucks, or just the mastering job done by Sony. I am hoping that it's just a Sony screwup. If T2 and Lord of War look like junk as well though, back it goes.
So, I got a Blu-Ray player from Circuit City yesterday to go with my HD-A1 player. I figured, it couldn't be as bad as everyone was making it out to be, right? I had to see it for myself. So, I put in The Fith Element and prepared to be awed by the Blu-Ray experience that goes "beyond high...
I've had no problems with my HD-A1. The Best Buy near me gets all titles in on release day or before. They have a nice display setup in a nice area of the store. Most of the negative opinions I am hearing are from people that don't even own a player....
EB has been doing this for a long time. I got Star Wars: Episode 1 a week before street date from my local EB. Guess the e-tailers are where it's at now for getting things early.
I was able to find Mickey, Donald and On the Front Lines today at a major retailer, that hardly ever breaks street date, but for some reason had all the Treasures out for sale today (except Tomorrowland, they had none of that)! So, even though DVD Pacific screwed up my order with Mickey being...
What's up with DVD Pacific? How come they are saying Mickey is on backorder?? They are not getting it until early next week? *sigh* They really dropped the ball on this one...
Yeah, I was hoping for some more Rockers stuff...besides the AWA match and the Barbershop extra...but oh well, it is a Shawn Michaels DVD afterall and not a best of The Rockers DVD. Oh and here are some Easter Eggs that have been found so far... DISC 1: Easter Egg: Buddy Rose "Blow Away"...
I was able to find the COMPLETE match and extra listing for the DVD. Here it is: 2-Disc Set. For the first time ever, Shawn Michaels talks about the matches that helped define his illustrious career and set the standard for others to follow. Seven of the matches that made him the...
I just listened to the Real Love video in DTS. My jaw is on the floor. BEST SOUND EVER I hear a ton of stuff that I NEVER heard in the CD version. If the rest of the stuff is anything like this (and I hear it is) then people are in for a real treat with this set. THIS IS A MUST HAVE DVD.
