There is very little flat space on top of the 42H81. I had to make a little wooden platform to support my center speaker on top of the TV. The owners manual suggests not putting anything on top of it. I would not recommed putting anything more than a modest center channel speaker on top of...
My set is only a 42h81, but I have 90 degree bends at the top and bottom of the steps I was concerned about. Top and bottom two steps are actaully triangles that turn the landings 90 degrees at both ends. I know the box would fit down the steps, but was concerned about whether or not there...
I built a mock up as well. However, since I like to build things for relaxation, I have a huge collection of K'nex building toys. I built a mock-up of my TV using K'NEX. Turned out it was no big deal, as my TV made it down the stairs and around both corners with no problems without even taking...
My brand new 42h81 has the exact same thing. I almost wonder if the screen was not completely flat when they tightened the clamps, or if the clamps could be overtightened slightly distorting the top edge of the screen. Mine isn't noticable with a picture on the screen, so I am not too worried...
I can get a Toshiba 42H81 locally for about $2000 with tax and delivery. $1877 for the set, $79.50 for delivery and setup, and $93.85 for 5% MD sales tax. That comes to $2050.35 total.
Is this a good price?
How much should I expect to spend for a extended warranty on this set?
Thanks...
This could get interesting for audio playback on some computers as well. I know that all newer Apple Macintosh's do not use the analog connection from the CD-ROM drive. In fact it isn't even connected. They transfer the data over the SCSI or IDE bus and do the D to A using the processor. They...
I have often wondered the same thing. My sub sits about 3 feet from my 75 gallon reef tank. Then I realized that the low frequency sounds from waves crashing and other natural (and unnatural) things that occur in the ocean is probably more than our subs put out. I doubt our systems bother the...
You also might want to try Herman Electronics. They have always had what I needed. I was actually able to get a part for a 13 year-old Onkyo Integra cassette deck from them. It took a couple of weeks to get it because they had to get it from the component manufacturer, but they did get it...
