I had a similar problem with the SACD of the Downward Spiral. I noticed there was a fine scratch which I thought was barely anything. Eventually I took it to a store which resurfaced it and that tiny scratch was the problem as the disc works fine now.
Thanks Jeff. I managed to pick that one up and got it registered. I live in Canada but my brother had to be able to continue listening to Howard Stern so this is great. Thanks for all of the advice.
I was wondering if, similarly to cell phones, if there is a difference in reception between Sirius satellite receivers? I am trying to choose one but this is a main concern for me.
Utopia, that's it. Thanks Nick. I was looking through my dics last night to see if I still had it. I modded my own DC but I burned the disc once to try it out.
There use to be a disc that you could burn and then use it as a swap disc. I will see if I can remember what it was called. The disc was used to play homebrew games as well as use other applications on it.
The 2 channel is an improvement but it's not like night and day. It's the 5.1 layer that really makes this disc worthwhile. There is truly a night and day difference there.
I tried both fixes and none worked. I haven't tried to see if it records regularly but the program guide is still not working. I will post if I find a fix. Thanks
I have tried both of the things you guys sugested. I will try them again though. It's been a few weeks since I tried them. I'll update when I do. Thanks
I have a Panasonic DMR-85 DVD recorder. When I first got it, there was no problem downloading the program guide. However, I had a power outage one day and since then it will not download the guide. I have tried re-intializing it, unplugging the cable box and checking all of the connections to no...
I just got a DS today and the touch screen has one dead pixel. If they were in better supply I would return it but I can live with it. However, I was wondering if it's a sign that more dead pixels will arise? Thanks
I have listened to Dead Souls extensively on the original Crow soundtrack. I thought the SACD version was a little clearer than the redbook. A definite improvement though despite how small the difference.
There are a lot of answers here I would love to hear the Fragile in 5.1. I am hoping he gets the new record finished in 5.1 for a day and date release. Otheriwse I'll be double dipping on this one.
I finally got the SACD version yesterday. The two channel mixes are clearer but there isn't a night and day difference between the SACD and red book. However, the 5.1 mixes are oustanding. I am truly in awe. This will be my reference disc for a long time. I wish more rock/alternative SACDs would...
Has anyone found the Superbit version in Canada? Best Buy and Futureshop did not receive it. It's too bad because they had a one day price and the store was too busy to get a rain check.
I watched two songs on the dvd. It's a good mix but the LFE is really high. I have my system calibrated with VE and the Sub is at about 78db. It thumped so much that it drowned out other sounds. Otherwise it's a good disc.
You're welcome. If you have any trouble then just post here and I'll help you out. You have to follow the education link on their website. All accessories are cheaper too.
I ordered my Ipod from apple and used their education store. I am a student and they asked for my student number. You could try this avenue if you know someone who is a student or works at a unviersity. I got it for $40 less than retail.
I am a little embarrassed to ask this but how do you know who is on your team? I just began multiplayer and have been told that I keep shooting my own team.
Yes, you must take your time and think the process through first. You should have a clean sheet to put them on and use gloves. Don't mess up the way they go in. There may be a sticker or type of marking that shows the way they should be lined up. If you misalign them you will not have a proper...
I had a similar problem and I replaced it myself. Your best bet is to go the panasonic website and find out where the closest parts distributor is. If you want the part number then just search here You can order from them as well.
I have an AWD V6 2003 Highlander. It has been fantastic so far. It drives more like a car than an SUV. I would caution you regarding the smaller engine. The V6 is fantastic. It really helps to have the added power to pass on the highway as well as when you are in the snow. It does well in snow...
