I just picked up The Band's Greatest Hits and it is 24 bit digitally re-mastered. What are CD's normally mastered in? Is this a good thing?

What about amps that have the same power ratings for different ohms? The only example I have seen is McIntosh.

Are remastered CD's a great deal better than previously released CD's? If so, which do you recommend? I like all sorts of music.

If your TV has it's own speakers on the sides do you still need to worry about unshielded speakers. I would think the TV would have some built in shielding for it's own speakers.
