I owned the DD version and now I own the DTS version. OH MY GOD. The DTS version is much better than the DD. Not just the Bass, but all around. The DTS version had a 24bit master. The amount of detail in the Highs and mids is much better. The surround imaging is much better. This is my own...
I had a Sony 777ES. It got hit by lightning. By the time I recieved insurance money. The new 555ES had replaced it. I bought one, and it was no where the same. I sold it to a friend. Bought an Onkyo 787, bought seperate Marantz MA700 monoblocks, and now I can honestly say I am happy...
Hello, Keith. I use a pair of the DefTech BP2004TLs for my surrounds. They are totally awesome in this role. I have my surrounds set to large in the setup menu. There is a lot of bass coming from these channels, depending on the movies you watch. Try "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson with a pair of...
Dear Warner Bros,
By not offering an Anamorphic Widescreen version of a film, you destroy the vision that the Director, and his crew worked so hard to bring us. You do the film itself a big injustice.

Derek, some of the dvds I own I bought the first year dvd came out, and they look and sound just as good now as the day I bought them. I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything like that.
Hope you work it out.

I would have to agree with you Mark.
I had a similar experience back in 1998. I had a certain Denon reciever, (can not remember the number) I decided to try a Parasound Hca1000 amplifier for the front left/right channels. OH BOY was right. I could not believe the difference. Going back to...
If it were my system, I would buy the 4802 & the 5ch amp.
I currently own an Onkyo 787 reciever, which was pretty good by itself, but once I used it as just a pre/pro for 5 Marantz MA700 200watt monoblocks, the difference was unbelievable. Seperate amplifiers are the way to go. Dynamics...
I have The Lost World DTS dvd and the Lost World DTS laserdisc. There is no doubt that the dvd is lacking. I mean in base from the LFE, and it lacks the fullness in all of the channels compared to the laserdisc. I also have Jurassic Park in DTS on laserdisc and it is far better than the DTS DVD...
I have a Velodyne FSR-15, Definitive Tech PF15tl, Definitive BP2000tls for fronts and I have a 40 gallon Salt water tank right in the same room. We have anemone, clown fish, hippotang, etc. We have had no problems other than the normal problems associated with saltwater tanks.
Good luck...
