A few years back Criterion's "Spellbound" wouldn't play in Toshiba players (including mine) and apparently the problem was so wide spread that they had to do a second pressing. But it was only Toshiba players that had this problem.

I went to HMV, Sunrise records and Sam the record Man in Downtown Toronto last night and NONE of these stores had any of the new Peckinpah releases. I don't know if it's a two week delay but there is definitely a delay of some kind.

Both of those series are Nelvana productions which is owned by Corus Entertainment.

In Canada, this has been released as a two disc set. One disc is a single sided CD the other one a single sided DVD.I picked mine up on Tuesday for 9.99 which is approx. 8 bucks US.

I'm gonna hold out for the 35th anniversary edition or maybe the 40th? What a joke!!!

Yes, Godfather 3 is THAT bad that I would rather spend MORE money, wait YEARS longer and NOT get a disc of extras just to AVOID having Godfather 3 on my shelf.

The digital bits' rumour mill says 2 and 3 will be released in May!!!

Amazon.com lists it as being in black and white and is set for release on March 15th.

Still any word on this release?

I believe 145 minutes IS the director's cut. There is no 179 minute version.

I know Godfather 2 and 3 were suppose to be released in October. But checking the Paramount site and Amazon, I see no listing of it. Has it been postponed or cancelled? I haven't heard any announcement!

I rented the 'Matewan' DVD a few weeks ago and it was widescreen. The only extra I can recall was the theatrical trailer.

I heard that only the box set in Canada is missing "Witness For The Prosecution". Which totally doesn't make any sense.
