I'd also take a strong look at the Hitachi SWX line as there are two very positive recent reviews of this set in SGHT (NOV) and TPV (Nov/Dec). TPV reviewer compared the set side-by-side with his Pioneer Elite and the SWX held it own and actually outperformed the Elite in black level retention...

Just another vote for L7 over DPLII. I'm using a HK 320, and I prefer the L7 for both music & movies.

I also noticed the A-Bus connection, RS 232 port, and that the video (component) bandwidth was increased from 35 MHz to 50MHz. It also weighs 8 lbs more than the 320. Phil

Earle: I agree about the flexibility. That is what drew me to the HK as a pre/amp. I have my speaker size and sub settings configured different for DVD movies, DPL TV shows, 2 channel stereo.. etc... The Logic 7 processing is the real "deal maker" if you ask me. Phil
