In the meantime its available as a non flipper in Japan, I think japan is the only region where this movie is not a flipper. It might be OOP but its worth looking for because both picture and sound are very good.
There seems to be two releases in the UK , one 2-disc collectors edition and a single disc release (rental). The audio commentary is on the 2-disc , maybe you have the rental disc.

Not a bad packaging if you ask me , might be buying this one after all.
Anyone know when the SE will be released ? If its just a matter of months (2-3) i might as well just wait but if its not released until say March - April next year I will probably pick this one up right now.
I'm also waiting for a reissue of this film , haven't bought it mainly because of the flipper factor. I thought Warner were going to reissue all the old flippers but they do not seem to be in a hurry doing so.
As I remember it this was a Touchstone movie so I guess Disney holds the rights to this one now. I really cant understand why this hasnt been released on DVD considering the cast and the fact that is really is one of the classic movies of the 80's. Any plans to release this one soon ?
