I dont understand, if signal is passed thru cable why would dvr not allow it thru rec.?

My dvr is connected to my Pioneer vsx-520 via HDMI and out to Samsung PN50C550 via HDMI but tv does not recognize.It works straight to tv. Have tried every input(3), my bd player works in each! Ive read the Dish and tv manual, no help. Any help is appreciated!

I tried using a $20 UHF/VHF antenna from Radio Shack on my moms Sony Bravia LCD RPTV and did not get any HD! I can unhook the cable box input and route it straight to the tv and it works! What gives? BTW this is the first time Ive tried an antenna, guess Im doing it wrong!?Thanks!

Hi all, I just got a Sony Bravia LCD Rear-Proj. set (720) and was wondering if I would benefit from an upsconverting DVD player? I am now using a Sony prog. scan! I cant tell the diff between standard and progressive! Also how many hours of use can I expect out of my lamp?Thanks!
