I think the rainbow issue is blown all out of proportion by the minority who actually see them. I'm not denying that they bother a certain group of people, but I myself have never been able to detect rainbows on my cheap DLP (X1) nor has anyone who's watched with me. If I'd based my purchase on...
My mother bought that particular 47" RPTV and sits about 7' from the screen. It's just about perfect from that distance. DVDs look really nice on it, HDTV even better. Especially sports in HD! Amazing looking. I calibrated it with Video Essentials. She'd never owned an RPTV before, but bought...
You can get a DLP projector for a lot less money than a DLP TV. The Infocus X1 is $999 and will give you a much larger picture than 61". The picture quality isn't quite as nice (IMO) as a DLP TV, but still very very good with DVDs and HD. There are many other, better projectors out there, too...
I've sort of been thinking about some Paradigm performance series speakers. I looked at the Fluance speakers, and was stunned to see a 5-speaker setup for $199. They look really nice for that price. http://www.fluance.com/fluanceavhtb.html As for receivers, yeah I'll most likely go with Denon...
I have a 10' X 15' room with a projector (Infocus X1) and screen set up. Now I need speakers and a sub. In keeping with my cheap bang-for-the-buck projector, I'd like some decent, but cheap speakers. And I'd prefer to order the speakers and sub online. (Receiver recommendations would be nice...
I own a 65" HDTV (Toshiba 65H81) and an Infocus X1. If I had to choose between the two for sheer visual impact and enjoyment for watching movies I'd have to go with the X1 despite the vast price difference; I paid over $3,000 for the TV versus $999 for the X1. First of all, the Toshiba wins...
I had that happen to one of my X-files discs and had to return the whole set. Luckily I had purchased it locally, though. You'd think studios who release Digipaks would have some type of system set up to allow you to replace a single disc, since I doubt that cracked discs are uncommon with those...
Okay, I'll post here if I get it. At half.com I just checked and it listed 1 copy in stock. I know on another message board people have reported receiving them from this seller. Since my order was confirmed at half.com I've been charged for the price of the DVD, so hopefully that meant that they...
I ordered one from half.com yesterday, and it was confirmed today. The seller (dvdlegacy) apparently still has some. Or you could just check the dvdlegacy website, since I know a lot of people have been buying them from there still (at least as of yesterday).
I agree with the first post here! I now own all 3 versions of Starship Troopers, and I don't regret buying any of them. I was surprised just how much better the picture and sound were when compared to the last release. I noticed small background detail that I'd previously missed. And the DTS...
Actually I agree with you guys wholeheartedly on the multivitamin, and there's definitely nothing wrong with protein powder if you want to spend the money on it. Beyond that, though, I firmly believe you're wasting your money. A cheaper way to get extra protein is to simply drink milk, but if...
I think you're going about it the right way as far as fat loss by jogging and walking. Remember that you also want to at least hang on to as much muscle as possible so that it doesn't slow down your metabolism so don't get in too big of a hurry. By far the most efficient way to gain/preserve...
