Did anybody ever figure out what the show's creator had in mind for the next four seasons, ie when it reached the present? IIRC, the show would have hit its five years in 2000.
If you can enjoy James Bond already knowing that he'll save the world and the get the girl, you'll be OK. If you can enjoy a World War II movie already knowing that the Germans and Japanese will lose, you'll be OK. If you can enjoy watching a sports movie knowing the underdog will win, you'll be...
I believe that some sort of plague hit the Ancients and greatly reduced their number. I've always assumed that the physical malady contributed to the Ancients' decision to ascend to a nonphysical plain - it was there best hope for survival.
Since I've previously said I only have component inputs I guess I'm already boycotting upconvert players. Granted I've never seen such a DVD player in action, but I consider it a niche product. It certainly doesn't represent any sort of format. Nils or someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but...
This thread sure seems to be covering a number of boycott related topics. In regards to the HDMI connectivity issue, I said early on in this thread that I always knew I'd have to buy a new TV one day because my Toshiba HDTV "maxes out" at component inputs. I bought my HDTV back in August 2001...
When I bought my Toshiba HDTV in August 2001 I knew there would probably be a day when I would need to upgrade solely because the set only had component inputs. I'm really disappointed, however, that a business - and not technical - decision by Toshiba and their allies is bringing that day...
... because I'll be upset if Nadia is suddenly walking around at the start of next season just because Jennifer Garner is knocked up. That would rival the last several "resolutions" of the past cliffhangers. Nadia is a zombie right now and it will be extremely lame if she's healed in the first...
I hate to admit this, but after only watching a couple of episodes this season the promos made me tune in Tuesday night. I hate to reward those types of spoilers. My schedule just didn't make this an easy show to watch this season, but I'll probably make it a point to watch next year just to see...
Last night showed an inconsistency that's bugging me. When Sydney was buried alive APO couldn't call the regular CIA to rescue her because of their unofficial nature. Yet last night Vaughn calls for a Medivac and identifies himself so they know it's an official request. On other episodes it...
I believe Elliott decided to leave on his own. He's now got a development deal with ABC/Touchstone. Ratings for JAG were down this year, but I believe it still won its time slot. The problem for the show is that it has an older audience that isn't popular with advertisers. That may not be...
I agree that Mike appears to work for Logan and not Keeler. Palmer was obviously a centrist in his party and Keeler seems to be in his, so it's possible Logan is too. That's means the VP's chief of staff - who is more administrative than policy-making - could be an experienced politico rather...
I second that. Please! I haven't watched the previews since about six episodes in back in Season 1. I always have to have the remote handy when I watch other Fox programming to make sure they don't give away the entire episode in 30 seconds. I don't want the same thing to happen here.
