Watched the DVD again last night, and was surprised at how much dirt/smudges appears in much of the second unit footage. There appears to be dirt in the lens, and even some large dark spots in the center of some shots. Was this a problem with the Todd-AO camera? Doesn't appear to be in the...
I would be happy to be a part of any group that wants to confront Michael Arick and:
1. Demand that he tell us if he actually has a complete print.
2. Demand that he share it if he does.
Anyone care to join me?
"Many years ago I read a biography of Deborah Kerr which quoted her many times. I recall her stating that the songs were a mixture of her and Marni Nixon and that at times even she couldn't tell when the voices switched. (Rita Moreno was dubbed in the same manner by Leona Gordon). As I recall...
I see - I thought that since one or two lines of her voice were used in the beginning of "I Could Have Danced All Night" that there must have been a more complete take of at least that song. But you never found any?
Just found this thread, and I'm glad that people have enjoyed my attempts to restore Audrey's vocals. They do carry the important caveat that they were raw rehearsal recordings - she sounds better in the edited studio recordings that have been released on DVD. I also did a lot of futzing with...

Main Title
That Terrific Rainbow
Zip
Bewitched
Dream Sequence & Finale

I was just about to order this when I saw PaulMSchneider's post. I didn't want to buy a poor copy, so I downloaded a 1080i rip of the Blu-Ray.
It looks fantastic! I couldn't disagree with his comments more. I just ordered the Blu-ray, as should everyone who loves this film.

Sorry, I meant the 2002 DVD. There was a ton of branding about UR for "The Wizard of Oz" but I don't see it mentioned in the promos for the SITR Blu-ray - am I missing it?
