Press Release Warner Archive Collection Press Release: The Alaskans: The Complete Series (1959-1960) (Blu-ray)

Just wondering, why you don’t think those shows couldn’t happen? With this recent re-awakening of WBA’s TV releases, it seems anything could be possible. I’ve got my fingers crossed for Many Happy Returns, Room For One More, Father Of The Bride and Thin Man. I forgot about The Little People, a...

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Yep! Those are non-westerns, and any of those would be welcome. I’m really hoping for Father Of The Bride, Room For One More, Many Happy Returns and The Thin Man. Let’s support The Alaskans , make it a success to lead the way for these others. And let’s not forget the detective shows. The recent...

Great news. Is this the last of the WB Westerns? I’ll be preordering. Thanks Mr. Feltenstein!

Smaller companies and even bigger companies always have problems with delivery/ release dates . David has been very good about getting all of these releases out to the market place. I can’t think of one that was canceled. So eventually we’ll have it and I’m sure it will be worth the wait.

So it WAS Hall’s company that produced it . I remember reading an old interview with him where he mentioned that. It seems like no one renewed the copyrights. Many companies have Ramarreleases , most of which seem to come fro 16mm/ VHS releases that emerged in the eighties.

Ramar seems to be PD now. I’m pretty sure it was produced by Jon Hall. William F. Broidy is Guy Madison! He produced the show. At one point, his daughter had a web site devoted to him AND the Wild Bill Hickok Show which she appeared to be very interested in. I don’t know why she never tried to...

Target selling physical media in-store and online in doubt.

I b I buy almost exclusively online. Doesn’t HTF encourage us to use their link to purchase? I use Amazon a lot. I also buy from Critics Choice Video, Kino Lorber, and Classic Flix.

Pre-Order The Abbot and Costello Show Season 2 (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

Update: I just watched Uncle From New Jersey. The great quality continues-Uncle Rupert looks incredible in HD. I noticed one miscue early in the episode as Bud is on the phone and refers to Uncle Rupert as Uncle Rueben. Also, I always wonder where Rupert’s outfit is when Lou isn’t wearing it. At...

I’ll be looking forward to those future projects including Angel and Hoppy. And I’m also hoping some interesting TV shows are among them. I just checked out the LOC site. It’ll take me a little time to fully figure it out! Thanks for the info!

I have the Shokus discs. They’re ok , but I’m sure CF will do a much better job. Let’s hope it sells, so we get the entire series!

So David , I was wondering what the criteria is you use when selecting shows for release on DVD and possibly Blurays. I’d guess, usable source material, PD if possible, not too many seasons? It seems to me World Of Giants was licensed from ZIV. Abbott And Costello Show came from Costello...

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Window On Main Street is owned I believe by the Robert Young Estate. Shout Factory released about 10 episodes as add ons to Father Knows Best. Maybe Classic Flix could look into that series. Speaking of FKB, Shout Factory recently released a nice complete series box set.

Shout complete TV releases: What's next?

Yes, that would be nice. I watched the entire box set and would love to see the follow up series. America/Fernwood 2 nite too.
