I just read my post from awhile back and I decided to check your theater out. congratulations! Your plans sound great and everything looks good so far. Do you plan on any type of curtains or theater seating? I can't wait to see pics when it's complete (although they are never complete). Oh yeah...
thanks, I won't. Do these speakers actually have a flat frequency response as advertised or are they just saying that? I need something to keep me happy until i get Fluance.
I'm glad you mentioned those because I was looking at them to possibly buy. I'm kind of unhappy with the way these perform. They seem to be very inefficient. i did a quick frequency response test and it fluctuates up to 7 decibels. They rated them to go down to 80hz but it really starts around...
I just redid my room. Tell me what you think of it. My Theater The curtains look alot better than what the picture shows. They look exactly like velvet. Total cost did not exceed $2000 (I don't think).
Hi guys, I just finished rearranging my bedroom theater. I just put in a futon that I use for my bed. Anyways, after hanging my speakers and moving all my components to the other side of my room I realized that I had a big blank wall. Not only does this look bad but it also ruins my acoustics...
I think best buy is running a special on Rockford (If he wants some subwoofers). You can get an amp and two subs for 300 dollars. All you need then is a dual sub box (like $79). For brand new you can't beat this. I would definitely check on Ebay first for Volfenhags though. IMO, Pioneer makes...
I found what I was looking for. It's a H/K AVR-320 and I found it for under $350 reconditioned. It's the same as the 325 but you need a separate amp to run the surround backs and it is 55 watts per channel instead of 50. It has everything I need and want except more than 75 watts per channel...
Thanks guys for the help. I looked at the H/k receivers and the one I am looking at is a little out of my price range. I think it will be worth it if I save. The problem is that the receiver would be in a very enclosed area. I have built a fan into the back of my cabinet, but I'm not sure it...
Well guys, I just bought my receiver but I caught the upgrade bug (I wish they had a vaccine). Anyways, I need help choosing one. Originally I was looking at the Sony STRDE995 but now I've read that the amplifiers are a little weak, is this true? This is what I need in the receiver -Less...
The Sony STRDE895 is what I'm going to be upgrading to. It only cost $300 and it supports high definition. It also has 6.1 capabilities. The reason I recommend this is is because the low end Pioneers have weak amplifiers. They sound thin and have high THD. I think that the Sony is the best bang...
OK, thanks for all your posts. I was thinking more of a smaller screen than that. I was thinking more to wards DVD because that would be the cheapest route to go. If I didn't charge the can to get in would it be legal? It seems that it would then just be a get together, like if you were going...
Well first of all I want to explain why. There is a local man in town that puts up huge concerts and events in our tiny little town (tonight it was Kenny Rogers in the stadium of my school). He charges canned food for a ticket and over 9,000 people "bought" tickets. Well I thought this was a...
480i is only what your TV supports, which is truly not HD. You may want to leave the component inputs open for a DVD player, but if you don't have one then go for the HD pack. I think it would be a waste though because you can't actually use the High Definition capability (since your TV does not...
