Basically, a sub should do what it is told to do. If it's suppose to be producing quick accurate beats while listening to Dave Mathews or Skynyrd, whatever your taste, that's what it should be doing. If you are watching planes drop bombs on Vietcong in "We Were Soldiers" then it should be making...
The best speakers are built in Canada...while the best trucks and subs are built in the USA :) Look at Axiom, Energy, Paradigm for speakers and SVS for sub. :)
She's not your wife dude...do whatever the hell you want If you are on a leash or pusswhipped, you should sit in the listening position and do the pink tone test and increase db so they sound the same.
That thing is a beast. Either that or a dual cylinder of your choice should do the job. I love my SVS (20-39PCi) but you obviously need something bigger and better. Talk to the SVS guys...maybe they could help you out on this one.
Have you done calibration on your sub yet? If not, buy an SPL meter at radio shack and have a friend sit in your listening position while you move the sub around and change the phase on the sub. Whenever the SPL is highest...there you go! Try that before buying a different/additional sub.
Hi, I received all my sound equipment. I am using one power outlet which has 2 plugs in it. Can I connect my computer, printer, and subwoofer (350 watt) to the Belkin Surge Protector (it's no Monster, but I bought it with my comp); and then plug my receiver into the other plug? Or should I...
Hey guys, Just ordered some Energy Speakers for my new home theater system. It consists of an Onkyo DR-C500 (100x5 RMS), SVS 20-39 PCi, C-1 for fronts, C-C1 for center, and C-R3 for the surrounds. I got all of the above for $1750 with shipping. So what do you think? I hope I'm a happy camper...
I think I've decided on the Energy C-1's as my fronts and C-C1 as my center. But what should I use for my rears? Either C-1's or C-R1's? I would think I would use the C-R1's as they are a rear speaker but I hear people saying they are using C-1's for rears???? Thanks for your help.
I suggest the Onkyo DR-C500. 100x5 RMS of clean onkyo power. Go to jandr.com and purchase the refurbished one for $200 - It comes with the warranty because J&R is an authorized dealer. That's my 2cents.
