I'm curious, at that wattage rating, you should have plenty of bass one would think. Given number one that the sub is placed right to begin with. One other thing, how do you know that the amp is set for 500 watts output? Does that mean that it's cranked "all the way to the right"? By...
The older you are, the longer that list gets for those who buy a lot of music. Mine would be fairly large and would include.... Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd Uriah Heep Jethro Tull etc etc up to the last few years and would include... Bird York Josh Ritter Robert Randolph Vienna Teng Tool
If your looking to spend under 2 grand on a 7 channel amp with 200 watts, look at the MPS-1 from Emotiva. http://www.av123.com/products_produc...s&product=18.1 Hopefully this is ok here..... Audioholics rates it as the amp of the year...
I take it your speakers are rosewood? Two thoughts... First is..there isn't anyway to match your Rockets with the same veneer unless you "buy" the same veneer. Just a thought. Second is..you'll have to also match the stain. Added to this is...if you really want to match them, add...
Owen, you don't need a fancy stripper for coax if your going to solder the tips. Just use a sharpe knife or an exacto knife and work carefully to not cut yourself. If you end up going the coax route, find something flexable. Not that it matters over anything else but it's more convienient...
I suppose you'll get arguments on one over the other but with as little bandwidth as your using in a sub cable, probably not anything you can hear. Just make sure to route it away from any power cords.
Sure you can do an RCA to an XLR. Just make sure you get the right XLR end. If your using mic cable, just use the two colored wires. If your using a coax, then use the center for your hot and the shield for the signal ground or the negative.
Depends on your amp and again I'm not an expert, but my personal opinion is to stick with a two way crossover as 3 way are more complicated. That would mean picking a different tweeter or a different midwoofer. Will it work with those speakers listed? Probably not a problem. If the amp...
Mind you, I'm not even close to being a novice on this subjec Joe, but let's look at a couple of things. First the tweeter. *Frequency range: 3,500 - 25,000 Hz Notice the low freq on the tweeter? 3,500? Your woofer... *Frequency range: 40-2,200 Hz Notice the high on them...
Your going to have a lot of things on that circuit, and although you can probably get by with a 15 amp circuit, I'd put in a 20 amp. I'm only adding this because most house circuits are 15 amp. If you add a really big amp later, you'll be glad you did.
