Thanks for the info. Again my only concern is that we are given the extended version in the correct aspect ratio the same way Warner Archive did for Superman.
If it can happen I would love to see a full analog restoration of the original Todd-Ao elements in 70 MM 30fps. The film being a travelogue is made for such images.
I really enjoyed this Bond film but with UHD on the Horizon and the fact that it was shot anamorphically on film and finished in true 4K, I will wait to pick it up on UHD HDR instead.

BTW, this being a large format film, would it not have been more beneficial to scan it at 8K instead of 6K ??

Was the Ten Commandment BD restoration the same with what was done with the new Spartacus BD ?? Meaning, did they actually restore and scan the original 8 perf Camera Negative ??
I saw many films at the Century Plaza in Los Angeles with the HPS-4000 system. Unfortunately that theatre closed down and was demolished in 03.
When the sound was not tampered with, it was the finest sounding theatre. And being in LA, that is saying something.

I am well aware that very very few theatres can project the Hateful Eight properly. Cineramadome in Hollywood is one of those rare few which has a 85 foot screen with the necessary anamorphic lens to de-squeeze the 70 MM picture.
