I'd rather have the complete uncut epsiodes instead of the syndicated ones on DVD. Some of the cuts are very distracting and upset the flow of some episodes.
I doubt Universal care as they are too cheap to even release captions on many of their film and TV titles.
I don't think we will ever see a complete set of Happy Days on DVD let alone Blu-ray! Some people are just silly if they think CBS/Paramount can magically make this happen. There are a multitude of music licensing issues to be worked out and who knows what condition the masters are in for the...
Hmm ... Blu-ray Disc video sales are not doing nearly as well as DVD was at this stage of its life cycle so I don't really see how things are going to improve from a sales perspective. From what I've gathered, a lot of people are still not *that* interested in Blu-ray either because they already...
Will this title ever see the light of day ? It's a brilliant interpretation of Tarkovsky's Solaris by Soderbergh and really deserves a solid Blu-ray release perhaps in an extended cut.
A very underrated film in my view.
I have been waiting for a HD release of this classic for so long. Despite the implausibility of the technology depicted in the film it's still a thrilling and entertaining ride. The scene with "Mr Potato Head" still cracks me up.
These obnoxious pieces of propaganda they call "anti-piracy" warnings are doing more to encourage piracy than to prevent it. These studios also have the audacity to equate copyright infringement with stealing which is blatantly false in many countries. The studios are probably hoping to scare as...
3D is a gimmick.
I often wonder why studios think people will be wowed by ordinary films being re-released as 3D ? Plenty of suckers fall for the marketing hype of 3D without realizing that the reality is very different.
Titanic 3D might be an exception but plenty of other films (like The Lion...
The only DVDs I buy now are TV show seasons I'm still collecting. I just wish the studios would hurry up and finish some series instead of keeping people hanging. CBS/Paramount is probably the worst in this respect as shows like Streets of San Francisco, Happy Days, Becker and Family Ties have...
I agree that a Blu-ray release of MillenniuM is not high on Fox's priorities right now given that the X-Files was a more popular show (but not an overly better one in my view). I am curious as to whether a HD transfer would present any major problems given that the show had minimal use of...
Does anyone know if Fox is considering a transfer of the great 90's TV series MillenniuM onto Blu-ray Disc ? The DVDs are pretty good quality (especially Season 2) and although I'm quite pleased with them I think this show could benefit quite a lot from a remastered High Definition transfer.
