Aimee Mann LIVE AT ST. ANN'S WAREHOUSE DVD/CD

Thanks Cameron, I knew about the live CD (not really an incentive for me since I always prefer the studio versions), but I do appreciate the info. I guess I'll hold off on the DVD since it doesn't appear to have anything extraordinary on it. Maybe Santa can put it in my stocking... :) Anyone...

Aimee Mann LIVE AT ST. ANN'S WAREHOUSE DVD/CD

Rich, since it was originally shot on HD Video, 3:2 pulldown shouldn't be necessary; 3:2 is only required when converting 24fps film sourced material to 30fps video (e.g. when transferring a movie shot on film to the dvd format).

Aimee Mann LIVE AT ST. ANN'S WAREHOUSE DVD/CD

Thanks Michael, the reason I asked is because the only reason I'd buy the DVD is for the extras, as I already have the HD recorded on the Tivo. Can anyone else tell me if there are any extras besides the interviews?

Aimee Mann LIVE AT ST. ANN'S WAREHOUSE DVD/CD

Can anyone who saw the HDnet performance compare it with the DVD? Are there any significant extras on the DVD beyond the interviews that were aired following the concert performance on HDnet? Thanks, Jim

Aimee Mann LIVE AT ST. ANN'S WAREHOUSE DVD/CD

Anyone know if this is the same show as the upcoming concert on HDNet? I'd imagine so since it says it was shot in hi-def video... btw, for those that don't know, the HDNet concert is scheduled to air sometime in November.

    Saving Private Ryan Reviews?

Because the DD version was available over a month before the DTS version, and at the time it wasn't widely known that a DTS version was even in the works. Being that SPR is my favorite film of all-time, I happily bought it on DVD the first day it was available (before I even owned a DVD player)...

Free SACD with Nov. 21st Rolling Stone Magazine!

I found it at the local Food Lion last night... :b You gotta love it when you pick up a SACD at the Food Lion for $4.95!!! :D Having never heard Miles Davis before, I was disappointed that there's so much hiss in the left channel... I guess I'm used to these 30+ year old titles being restored...

Warren Zevon sleeps at age 56

So, for all the audiophile Zevon fans, what are his best (currently available) releases in terms of sonic quality? The only thing I have right now is "A Quiet, Normal Life" and would like to pick up more... Had "Sentimental Hygiene" on vinyl back in college, but never replaced it on cd. He'd be...

Small outdoor UHF antenna for an appartment.

I'd at least try the Zenith Silver Sensor, you can find them at Sears or Circuit City... I'm also on the 2nd floor of our 3 story condo, and I was able to pick up stations from Baltimore, about 50 miles away, using only the Silver Sensor with a Sony HD-200 (which may have helped, as it...

    Buying a PVR, which one??

I concur with those above who stated that the DirecTivo was the single best home electronics purchase I've ever made. Definitely check out the link above to the tivocommunity forums (you can get to them from avsforum.com as well), it's the best resource for information. If you're going the...
