if ur rich you can replicate that at home =P. maybe not 60ft x 80ft... but if you have $ you can get pretty big, those that can fit a 300" diag. can probably handle 14ft x 20ft 1.43, yes it's not 60ft x 80ft... but it's better than tiny 77 or 85" direct views

tos/tng restoration took place during the height of physical media when it was profitable and was a ONE OFF. as far as i can tell, there hasn't been ANY OTHER TV series/program that went through as thorough as restoration/remaster as tos/tng.
they've barely restored most of the other TV series...

as for remasterting TNG style, that was a unique event that happened at the height of DVD/Blu media at the right time and right place. i can't think of any other TV series that received that...

my qualifier for "bad disc" is if you cant rip it on a pc bdrom, i have something like 5+ bdrom and if i can't rip it across all of them, i would concede. computer roms have so much more error checking then standalone players.
have you tried ripping it, not using the utility to read sectors, but just rip it. if it rips, it should work, the disc.
like many i've been a optical disc collector since laserdisc days. i think i've only experienced once maybe twice in the many decades since. it's EXTREMELY RARE.
