DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).

The movie moved outrageously fast which helped it IMHO. The movie is long on time and it gets a lot done in that time. You almost wished they had included more which is rare with a movie of this length. I was hoping for an extra hour on the DVD. My daughter who loves the books swears that...

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).

Amazon was using the 23rd but it diappeared a dew days ago, Ooops, spoke to soon. The 23rd is back on the site. I loved this movie. My daughter, who read the book, did not like it that much. I did not read the book and have found that I enjoyed it a lot more than those who read the book...

I've noticed that several sites have removed the Nov 23 release date for the DVD.

    How are fluance so cheap?

You would not use the SX-HTB cabinets for white-van speakers. It's cheaper just to nail 4 boards together rather than create the rounded cabinets. They sound like $500 speakers that you can get for $300. They are not $1000 speakers. They are not for everyone because they are big honking...

    How are fluance so cheap?

They have no overhead as best I can tell. No advertising, no discounts to retailers. You are basically buying them for the same money as a retail store would buy them.

    Time for a new receiver

I have a recon Onkyo and it works fine.

    Onkyo + Fluance: Good Match?

That's the setup I have and it works very well. I don't know that the upgrade is significant enough to warrant an upgrade of that level. A refurbed Denon might be the answer or perhaps adding a subwoofer.

    Newbie - Need HT suggestions/comment!

Look for a refurbed Denon at ecost.com or the HK. The HK will not disappoint. You can get a good refurbed Denon for less than $300 and use the additional money to buy speakers. I have the SX-HTB and you won't touch them for the price. Nothing seems to come close.

    Looking for a budget reciever

For $300, go to ecost.com and get a Denon refurb. I have the 502. It's pretty nice.

    What in the world ??

Compared to a TV speaker, everything sounds good.

Can you help?: Big room needed to be filled with home theater sound

You will need some big amps to drive that room. I like the Paradigm choice.

    Newbie Needs Speaker Suggestions

The SX with the sub is a good idea if you have the room for them.
