Ok, so it's not just me? It's not some Kubrickian wink at something? I wouldn't say it's infantile, just odd, especially compared with the rest (ok, the Papa-ooma-mow-mow surfin' bird scene bugged me, too... 'Who will play the indians?')..

Every time I watch this, I find the trash-talk scene with Joker and Mother incredibly jarring.. Their back and forth is so unfunny and the reactions of their audience so overblown ("Well, they call me 'the joker'.. LOL!! Oh no he didn't!! LOLOLOL HAhahahaha!!), that I have to ask - is it some...

Man, wouldn't it be great if Criterion got a hold of this? THAT I would pay $60-70 for, not some used DVD or double for a Blu-ray..

What the.. Why so expensive on Amazon, et al?? Along with Last of the Mohicans, Rob Roy, and Master and Commander, this is one of my favourite 18/19th century dramas.

Loved the dialogue, and I could listen to Ralph Ineson read a phonebook.. Nice tension and sense of foreboding!

I give up on this show..... :( Like 'Enterprise' they've taken what could have been an awesome premise and slapped us in the face...
