Why the same brand?

I appreciate your bluntness! I was looking at the C-17 on ebay. I won't be considering that brand anymore. Any thoughts on the Cerwin Vega VE-5C?

Thanks for the advice, fellas. I took it apart and pushed the majority of the indentions back out. Upon further research, I see that an upgrade of my center channel might be the best move to improve my current setup. I've got my eye on a Cerwin Vega VE-5C. Ninety bucks on ebay. Any suggestions?

I'd buy a receiver anyway. You can get one that doesn't suck for $200.
