I've been using a Harmony One for about 3 months now. It replaced 6-7 remotes. I thought it was pretty easy to setup and it works all my gear. They can be had for under $200.
Yea, I just got a Harmony One . My first real universal remote. I like the ease of programming my activites, installing devices, etc. I thought about the 1100, but I like to be able to use just one hand and I don't mind hard buttons. But, I agree. The 1100 is sexy. Maybe one day.

You could sell your Audio Research pre and get another 2 channel pre that has HT passthrough. Your Threshold amp and Thiels would then be able to pull double duty,(HT and 2 channel listening). I'm using a Musical Fidelity pre with my Rotel HT system, works great.
I recently bought a Pioneer 1018 for my daughter. Nice receiver. Very flexible, good sound, auto cal. HDMI inputs and she has her Ipod connected. She is only using 5.1 and sounds just great.
Nice score. When first starting my system, I had the CS175 center. Not a bad starter. If yours is the "I" does it have the tri-lam tweeter? If so, even better. They have discontinued making that tweeter.
