:emoji_thumbsup:  Anybody try to modify the AV8 to encorporate phase plugs?? The concept sounds as though it would be a good idea. Any thoughts Dan
Michael Xover looks good. I admire your originality, using FETS. You may want to look at designing a notch at around 2k2 to help tame the AV8s peak. Also, from what I have read, MTM designs usually exhibit a peak in frequency response in relation to the centres of the M the T...
IMO Its not the duty that is the issue, its the f@#$*%^ brokerage fees to inform you that there is no duty...a tax to tell you if you should pay tax and how much....
I have tumult and BFD. My best results are to move the sub away from the corner and use bass traps. I have my sub fire up....aprox. 2 feet in the air and about 4 feet away from my longest dimension (17'). I also have 1 bass trap (a bookcase with a bag of insulation behind it) in the furthest...

Actually, there is a much better article on crossover design written by John Kreskovsky than the one Dan Wesnor has linked to. It can be found here: Transient Perfect 2nd Order Xover Design Perhaps the xover design nightmare for multiple drivers can be found in it.
I have kit281s and i think they sound great... but really should you not compare like sized drivers to each other....kit281s use 8 inch drivers and A/V3s use 6.5 inch ...not a fair comparison IMO....Adire sells a new driver; AV5 (5.25 inch) ...anyone hear this driver? Dan
My living room size is approx. 200 sqft. My house is an "open" design so you can add the dining and kitchen in for a size of approx. 350 sqft. Having said all that, my Tumult powered with the AVA250 kicks a :) :) Yah the amp clips when i drive my system too loud but too loud is too loud...
