I'm with you on this. I might buy the cartoons but what I really want is the three Gilligan's Island reunion movies. I have a cheap-o public domain copy of rescue from gilligan's island but would like to see a release in better quality.
I have bought the public domain cheapo RFGI DVD and as others have said the quality is terrible. Being old enough to remember when it actually aired, I found that I was able to watch it and enjoy it. Having said that I would gladly pay 20 bucks for a collection of the 3 reunion movies if they...
Count me in for Gilligan's Island reunion films especially. This would seem like a no-brainer to me. Must be another "rights" problem. Would like to see Dusty's Trail as well. Not as sure about the animated shows, but would be nice if they were available.
It's too bad there isn't so much interest in the show. I really like it and have watched it since day 1, but it doesn't make it to where I would buy it on DVD. I would recommend it to anyone, but I really only buy "classic" shows (ie they are not aired anymore.)
I am looking forward to this release as well. I wish more of the studios would release the "reunion" movies of all their classic shows on DVD. I would especially like to see the 3 Gilligan's Island reuinion movies done up this way.
1) price. No matter how much I want to see something, if it's priced outrageously I will not be buying it. ($30 max for a one season set) 2)rarity/ scarcity. Is the show still airing on TV where I can watch for free? Has the show aired in the last 10 years? 3)Nostalgia. A high percentage of...
So those sets I have seen in Best Buy aren't authorized? I have an old bootleg and was wondering if a set with better picture quality had been released.
1) TOS - This show looks awesome on DVD 2) DS9- The update of Star Trek that really got it right 3) TNG- Just a little too PC HUGE DROPOFF 4) Enterprise- at least a different look and vibe but doesn't feel like Star Trek until Season 4. 5) Voyager- combines the worst elements of DS9 and TNG...
I'm with you on this one. Hardly an upgrade if this is just a "slipcase". I want those (remastered) movies on DVD! And there's a lot of easily available extra content that could be thrown in to sweeten the pot. There was a late night talk show that had the last group appearance of most of the...
