How many subwoofer RCA inputs should be driven from a single pre-amp RCA sub channel output? If you want to drive more than that number, what do you use to buffer the sub signal channel? Thanks!
Again, I am asking for observations from someone who has seen both. I know they both do 480p. There are many DVD players that output 480p with different levels of picture quality. If you have used both on an HDTV setup, what is your opinion on the relative picture from each?
For those who have experience with both, how do the graphics on an HDTV setup compare? Looking at screen shots on the gamespy site it appears that the X-box graphics are noticeably superior. Is that really the case?
I have had this unit for 3 months and enjoy it immensely. It is linked with a B&K 7270 7-channel amp to drive 7 Def Tech Spkrs (2xBP2000TL, 1xCLR3000, 2xBP2002, 2xBP@X). Add to this an SVS 20-39PC and I'm in sonic heaven!
I have both a Paradigm and Def Tech system setup. I enjoy music on both, though each has a different sound. I use Ref 80's from Paradigm driven by a Rotel RSP-985 & RMB-1075, I like the forward sounding mid range for 'punchy' music. The def tech setup is the 2000TLs driven with a B&K Ref 30 &...
You could make your own using RG6 cable with F connectors on the cable and F connector to RCA converters from Radio Shack. I am running this setup 28 feet to my Sharp 9000 and the picture looks fantastic!
Yes, I have tried this (of course, I wrote the referenced post at AudioReview). I am using a Sony 9000 DVD/SACD player, connecting the stereo L/R channels via the RCA to DB25 cable. Give it a try!
I own this receiver and use it to drive Def Tech speakers - 2xBP2002, 1xCLR2002, 2xBP1X. I produces great sound but has a few quirks. When switching to stereo mode it will occasionally continue to drive the center speaker. Cycling power with the remote always cures this. The other, much rarer...
I have two HTs setup, one with Paradigm (2xRef80, 2xRef20, 1xCC) and the other DefTech (2xBP2002, 2xBP2X, 1xCLR2002). For HT, I prefer the DefTech setup. The bipolars really surround you with sound well. I recently moved this setup to a larger room and found the DefTech's really 'opened up'...
