The Green Room (La Chambre verte)
The newer DVD, Das grüne Zimmer from Koch Media, is a big improvement over the MGM one.
The picture is clearer and cleaner; the aspect ratio of 1.66 is equal to the OAR (the MGM DVD was cropped to 1.33).

TT has been generous with their Truffaut offerings recently. I recently got Adele H and just pre-ordered Mississippi Mermaid.
Is it too much to hope that The Green Room (aka The Vanishing Fiancée) may soon follow?
I understand that, to appreciate higher definition of the picture, you need a larger screen, or you need to sit closer to the screen.
Shall I then be able to see clearly the edges of a 4K picture with AR 16/9?
I just received and browsed the TT blu-ray "The Story of Adele H." Superb image!
It plays on a Region-B locked player and on a multiregion player set on 'A'.
Subtitles:
French speech, translated into English: burnt-in subs (yellow).
English speech: optional SDH (white).

I was astonished to see you mentioning a blu-ray version, so I did a bit of search.
From what I decipher here, Koch Media in Germany did announce a blu-ray, but eventually released a new DVD:
- French and German friendly
- Aspect ratio: 1.66...
I like Artificial Eye's blu-ray release (region B) of Les Deux Anglaises et le continent; their title is Anne & Muriel.
But I am dying to see a decent release of La Chambre verte !
I have 4 of them, bought in France.
Two are locked on B: "The Third Man" and "To Be or Not to Be" (these titles are available in region A from Criterion).
One is AB: "Le Mépris".
One is ABC "Le Père Noël est une ordure", unlikely to be of much appeal outside French-speaking countries.
