Agreed .........I too would have like the Shearer / Novarro verion to be included. I had hoped like the two previous MacDonald / Eddy exclusive releases there would be an audio outtake section that they could have included the Jane Powell / Vic Damon pre recording test they did when Mario Lanza...

Question On the Amazon site there is a sound bite from an alternate audio take of If I only had a brain. I can not find it on the disc anywhere unless I missed it. Does anyone know where this is located. I am hoping it is not a Blue disc only extra.
When they announced the re-release of the show for September, I could swore they only mentioned a version that combined both season one and two. I hate to double dip if I do not have to, but I thought with the price of $29.99 I would do it. I went looking and found Walmart had season one &...
My Previous post: "When I saw American Gladiators then Thirtysomething being announced by Shout I knew they had entered into an agreement with MGM (via Fox I assume as they also licenced their shows). So I figured Patty Duke was there somewhere. I am thinking Mister Ed season sets are...

Very Happy I bought this set. It is a great show from the past. I forgot I had a crush on Karen Valentine. The video quality is lacking but still glad I purchased this and look forward to the rest of the seasons.
Some of these films are important to warrant a commentary (Like the Garbo & other Silents), but I can live without it.
Some of the films have not just trailers but featurettes that go with them, so we will be paying more for a film like Made in Paris that does not come complete with a...
For me the good news here is that MGM whether directly or through Fox has licenced this tv show and I hope there will be more shows licensed like Patty Duke Show, My Mother The Car, It's About Time, Thirtysomething or the rest of Fame, Green Acres, Flipper & Mister Ed.
Very happy this is coming out (I have it on laserdisc but will gladly upgrade). This release will also include two documentaries. Now here's hoping for Chuck Jones' The Phantom Tollbooth, & The Pogo Special I also hope someday we will see the Gene Deitch cartoons which have never been...
There is a great 3 disc soundtrack album from FSM that is all inclusive. The booklet is great it has an in depth history of the movie and there are behind the scenes photos as well (all that should have been on this dvd release). I also remember their internet site had a 3 part story on the...
I see this pop-up a lot with regard to MGM's tv shows and films. Although Sony is a partial owner of MGM (20%). They do not own any of MGM films and really have no say in the day to day operations, especially with regards to home video. Sony had their chance running the company when MGM was...
