    I'm just glad Lucas didn't have access to these AI tools when the SE variants of original Star Wars reached UHD BD. They are not perfect given their grain reduction (especially Empire) but at least there is no 'weirdness' and they are consistent in appearance.

    I watched the Abyss for the first time ever with the UHD BD extended version. I really enjoyed it until the ending. Major WTF at the end. Still wondering how and why this happened.

    I saw comparison caps between the UHD BD (tonemapped) and the old 1080i D-VHS version on another site. To my eyes, the UHD BD was far superior. There was also still some grain in the image.
