Got my reply from F@H:
I suspected that I wouldn't get my money back. Oh well now I know that any title that F@H claims to be HDX which isn't HD anywhere else, is not to be trusted.
Okay, I really got burned on this. I bought Desire Under the Elms, Crosswinds, Jamaica Run, and Here Comes the Groom. All of the them are pretty much garbage. There is a reason these aren't HD on iTunes. They are SD masters which have been upconverted to HD. The jaggies are a clear sign...
All of them would lack HDR in this sale because selections are limited to HDX resolution, even though they may be available in 4K.
Generally I don’t buy Paramount titles through Vudu/FAH, because Apple/iTunes still has the potential for free 4K upgrade.
However there are 4 titles at Vudu/FAH...
Yes, except the events are not shown. The entire story is told through testimony at the court martial. It is based on Wouk’s stage play which is based on the second half of the novel (the court martial).
Oh, and also the setting is modern day instead of WWII.
You can’t compare digital download file size to Blu-ray file size. They are completely different encode processes. 5.6GB for a 93 minute movie is actually a very large file size for digital.
No. I only own the iTunes version. However comparisons are are out there as others have done them:

The iTunes digital is basically the DVD transfer, but in HD resolution, while the Criterion and...
It depends on which you prefer. The digital version which is an older transfer with 1.78:1 aspect ratio and 5.1 audio remix, or the Criterion Blu-ray which is a newer transfer from 4K scan (2013) at 1.85:1 aspect ratio, but only monaural audio.
I‘m hoping this means Paramount will replace the iTunes SD file with the new transfer (and maybe even 4K?) In any case I’m glad I didn’t buy the Vudu/Fandango file like you did. ;)
Which is exactly what I’m talking about. They wore out their welcome with the Hobbit Trilogy and going back to that well one more time is going to be a disaster. Lord of the Rings is over. It’s time for them to move on.
I only made it through two episodes of the Rings of Power series and I couldn't take any more. It didn't feel like Tolkien to me. As for another new film from the Jackson/Boyens/Walsh camp, I fear that ship has sailed...
1.85:1 would be the original composition of the filmmakers, and SuperScope cropping was applied afterwards. I’m delighted that finally an uncropped element has been located, because Paramount claimed for years that SuperScope elements were all that existed.
