I was kind of hoping that the release announcement would least list the titles of the shorts

contradictions between the different sites that are selling the preorders at the moment, one has it listed as cartunes from 1941- 1972 while Moviezyng who does these as well has it listed a 1941 - 1951.

if they are doing a chronological of just the Woody shorts, and it has 25 of them then it would actually be 1940 - 1947, from his introduction in Knock Knock, to Solid Ivory.

or this will end up being a highlight release, of 25 random cartunes, and if it doesn't move enough units, be a one and done deal, I hope not.

Since it says there’s only 25 shorts, those shorts are probably the ones from the “Favorites” discount DVD line.

I was initially excited when I saw this. Upon further inspection it’s not an upgrade of the DVD sets as I had thought. I’ll still keep an eye on this, but I had really hoped they’d upgrade the DVDs as they were released to blu-ray. Perhaps that was not possible?

How do you know it's not an upgrade to the DVD sets?

Volume two (?) -- Screwy Squirrel, Chilly Willy, other Lantz characters, but most importantly, the Tex Avery titles.
Scary Squirrel was an MGM character, and Tex Avery only made four shorts for Lantz Studios, and hopefully, yes, all of them will eventually be upgraded to blu-ray soon.

Yeah, you're right about Screwy (not Scary) Squirrel. But, four Avery's is better than no Avery's!

I had a Super 8mm copy of ROCKABYE POINT and ran it over and over. Hilarious!

WAC isn't too likely to do much of anything anymore. I hope I'm wrong. Nothing this month yet.
