The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Best Buy, this week, has one of its worst ads ever.  Outside of some prices on various formats of this week’s release of Oceans 8…not so much.  Included is an EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK release of Oceans 8 on 4k/UHD for $34.99.

–Best Buy has a price of $17.99 on the Blu-ray of the 3-film collection of Oceans 11, Oceans 12 and Oceans 13.

–Also in the ad, BB shows a number of new release TV shows “starting at $14.99.”  Titles shown are:  Chicago PD: Season 5, Modern Family: Season 9, Scorpion: Final Season, Big Bang Theory: Season 10 and This Is Us: Season 2.

–Best Buy is also advertising 4k/UHD releases “starting at $14.99.”  Titles shown are:  Leon the Professional, The Fifth Element, Labyrinth.

–Best Buy also shows the cover of two recent 4k/UHD releases urging you to “Experience top action in 4k Ultra HD now.”  Titles are Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Infinity War.

–Best Buy’s Weekly Ad is available at THIS LINK.

–Target has no deals listed in their Sunday flyer on catalog releases.

Hey RoundUppers!

The annual September push of TV season sets continues this week. Too bad more of those sets aren't in HD.

Safe shopping!

Nothing of interest for me this week. It should thus give me time to watch the stacks of things I've bought over the summer.

Thanks for the RoundUp!

Thank you, Mike!

Nothing for me this week, but I will probably get The Middle season 9 sooner than later. Too bad they're not also releasing a complete series box set.

Hearts Beat Loud is also fantastic, so I'll end up with it eventually.

I ordered eight.

I also spent some $$$ to upgrade my center channel with an SVS Prime speaker a couple weeks ago, so it's good to take a break this week. :)

Nothing for me this week, but those two volumes of Television’s Lost Classics from VCI sound interesting. I wonder what shows are actually on it? I cannot find any information on VCI's own site. What a way to market these.

There wasn't anything of interest to me but I stopped in at Best Buy today because they have the reissued "Star Wars Saga" Blu-ray set on sale for around $75. Price matched an offer from Walmart.com and got the set for $67 plus change. The set has the bonus disks. I never purchased the original set because of how Fox Home Video had packaged the original set. This is definitely worth the purchased for those who don't have the bonus disks. Plus, I picked up Rogue One along with it. Great purchase for me this week/month.

I'm upgrading the two DTV Batman movies from BD to 4k this week. Assault on Arkham is just zany fun (for me) and the score is amazing. Killing Joke is a downer of a story, but very well done.

There are a few more reissues coming this year (Justice League Dark and Throne of Atlantis) which I'll also pick up cuz, ya know, I'm that kind of guy.

I'm also on the lookout for the new Hocus Pocus, if I can find it in store. So far, no luck.

Thanks Mike!

In case anyone's interested, The Killing Joke 4k got pushed back, per Amazon. The e-mail I got said October 3, while the listing says shipping in 1-2 months. BB says it's available for shipping.

As a sidenote: I was in BB after work last night. The media section had so many holes in it, I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. It looked like the shelves just hadn't been restocked. The same things that were gone over the weekend when I went in were gone last night (and then some).
