The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Best Buy, this week, has EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK PACKAGING with their 4k/UHD copies of both Beetlejuice and Goonies.  Each is priced at $29.99.

Nothing for me.

Me either. If WB had bothered to put new features on the Blu-ray that is accompanying the 4K release of Beetlejuice, I probably would have gotten that. A film of its stature being barebones is deeply unfortunate. But since there is nothing new on it, and I don't need it in 4K, I'll stick with the disc I already have.

Thank you for your work, though!

Nothing for me to buy or review this week. Those brilliant Agatha Christie mysteries are not to be missed if you don't already have them, but I imported them on Blu-ray from Sweden a couple of years ago (they look beautiful) and have no need of these editions.

Thanks for the RoundUp as usual!

I was just thinking, I don't know when the next time I will buy a new release title is.

My next few pre-orders (The Wind Rises, Back to the Future, Parasite) are upgrades of existing discs for improved quality and features. Those are going to be nice to have and I'm looking forward to them, but they're not a new title.

This is another side effect of the pandemic preventing new theatrical release over the last several months. I get it, but it feels strange.
