The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

  1. Hey RoundUppers!

It's the week of the big Infinity War release. And, of course, the Amazon/Disney throwdown continues.

Otherwise an eclectic mix of other new releases and some deep catalog.

Hope y'all find something you like. Nothin' for me this week.

  2. Thanks as always, Mike.

Just Infinity War for me. I'd like to get the Target exclusive UHD release, but the online preorders are sold out, I'm in northern Vermont for the week, and there don't seem to be any Targets in Vermont. So probably just the regular UHD release from Best Buy for me.

I own the first five seasons of "Arrow" on Blu-ray, but the sixth season was so bad I never want to see it again.

  3. Thanks, Mike!

I plan to use some of my Amazon "digital credits" to rent Avengers: Infinity War and wait for the price on the UHD disc to come down — I haven't seen the film yet. Cat O' Nine Tails interests me a little, as I'm a big Argento fan. However, this is one of my less favorites of his, so I think I'll be satisfied with my current Blue Underground BD instead of paying the inflated price for Arrow's new release.

  4. Adam Lenhardt

Not until October, at the University Mall in South Burlington.

I'll be getting Infinity War 3D from the UK at some point.

  5. Stupid question, I hope someone can help me: is this the first time the first 2 Avengers movies have been issued in 4K UHD? I ask because I know I own them, but I don't know if I've already re-purchased them in 4K or not (my discs are kind of strewn all over the place right now…yes I need to tidy up…)

    Thanks!

  6. Carlo Medina

is this the first time the first 2 Avengers movies have been issued in 4K UHD?

    Yes.

I'll be getting Infinity War this week. It really should be less than $22.99 for the Blu-ray, but I'll get it anyway. Thanks, Mike!

  7. Carlo Medina

Thanks Jake! I just didn't want to discover later on that I dupe-purchased the first two Avengers movies on 4K…

Sure. Understandable. But yes, these are the first Marvel catalog titles to be released on 4K. The others are Guardians 2, Homecoming, Ragnarok and Black Panther, which all came out simultaneously with their regular Blu-rays. So aside from those four titles, anything you have in your Marvel collection right now is Blu-ray or DVD. Presumably the other catalog titles will follow at some point down the line.

Why not future proof and get the 4K version (which includes the Blu) for just $5 more? Plus you get a 4K digital copy.

  9. Tino

Why not future proof and get the 4K version (which includes the Blu) for just $5 more?

Good question. I thought about this last year with Guardians Vol. 2, and if I thought I was going to go 4K, I would, but then I realized that given my present situation, the likelihood of upgrading to 4K is so remote that I' d be throwing money away by doing that. I'm the only person in my household who even cares about Blu-ray as opposed to a DVD. So, no one else is going to want to go 4K in the near future, and I don't have enough money to upgrade equipment on my own. So I don't think we will be going 4K anytime soon. I'd love to be wrong. But I doubt it.

  10. A very large order from the Disney Movie Club is slated to be delivered tomorrow, including all the Avengers films in 4k. After the week I’ve had, I need an order like to be delivered every day so I can look forward to something.

Target has 10% off Avengers Infinity War through the Cartwheel App

I went to the Cartwheel site and put this in my saved offers, but it says total saved is $0.00, and when I went to print a coupon at "checkout," Infinity War didn't show up.

Has anyone else been able to get this to work via the website? I want to take a printout coupon to the store tomorrow. I don't have a smartphone.

Haven't done it in a while, but I've used a printout almost 100% of the time I've done any Cartwheels.
I just looked at my Web-page with the Checkout/ Print Cartwheel Barcode & Coupons and Infintiy War 10% shows up on the printout

The site says that you can use the same barcode from previous printings (you would of course still need to add the item(s) to your list) I just as a force of habit (former Commodore user) Exit first and then come back to to print …

There are certain offers that would not apply to as they have a separate bar code…

My Disney order actually came on Saturday but I didn’t get it til I got back home late on Sunday. Of course I stayed up even later to watch Infinity War. Tonight I’ll checkout the other two Avengers titles.

Thanks. It didn't show up when I loaded the page but did show up when I printed it, along with other coupons I didn't add/don't need. But I'm good to go for tomorrow. With the Red Card discount added on top of the Cartwheel coupon, it should get it down to around $20, which sounds good to me.

Thanks again for pointing out the coupon in the first place.

  16. My DMC order showed up yesterday…five 4k's, 2 BD's for $150. I'm hoping to watch something tonight after bathing both dogs. We'll see…might need to wait til the weekend for Avengers. Those movies are long!

  17. Carlo Medina

I wonder when Amazon/Disney are going to put away the knives so I can save myself a drive…

Honestly, probably never. It's been going on for a year and a half. Disney knows we're going to get their Blu-rays anyway, and Amazon knows they are bestsellers, but they represent such a small percentage of Amazon's overall sales that they obviously are doing just fine without being able to sell Disney pre-orders. I've stopped even trying to look at Amazon for these products.

  18. Mine came from Target, so this doesn't apply to me, but as a warning…as they did for Black Panther, Wal-Mart is carrying a Blu-ray of Infinity War which does NOT include a digital copy.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Avengers-Infinity-War-Walmart-Exclusive-Blu-ray/634162792

If you're shopping at Wal-Mart and want to have the digital copy (which does include additional bonus not on the disc), make sure you're careful about what you pick up.

  19. It's a hell of a thing, but the toilet bowl cleaner has shipped while the Infinity War UHD has been delayed. Target must have thought the need for the former was too urgent to wait and bundle with the latter. Not sure I appreciate the implication…

    😀

  20. So had a new experience: Got home today, and Infinity War was waiting for me on the front porch.

Opened the sealed package from Target, and inside the shrinkwrap had been sliced open. I opened the package itself and both the Blu-Ray and the card with the digital code had been stolen out of it. The UHD disc and the Target exclusive gallery book were still in there.

Fortunately, Target was really cool about processing the refund and letting me keep the copy with the missing pieces. As a result, I got the regular UHD release from Best Buy, and I'm just going to put the Blu-Ray copy from that in the Target exclusive packaging. Since it was only $27.99 it actually ended up saving me money — although I'm not sure the $5 was worth the inconvenience.

In the future, I will not be making disc purchases through the Target website, since they obviously have people who steal somewhere in the supply chain. I only did it in this case because I was out of town.

Sorry for the hassle, but what we all want to know is … did the toilet cleaner arrive safely? 😀

  22. That's troubling, Adam. I got Infinity War from a Target store, but I've used Target.com before for the occasional Disney release not stocked by Amazon.

It's good to know this happened to you, and I'll consider that before ordering from them again. I'm sorry it happened like that, but thank you for sharing.

    THAT is crazy.

Unfortunately, I had my packages that shipped while I was out of town delivered to my parents' house, and I probably won't make it over there until Thursday.

I will post an update when the toilet cleaner is actually in my possession.

    😆

It's important for your toilet to be lime and rust free …
