The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

This might be one of the biggest week’s of new releases this year. So many 4k releases. So many Blu-ray releases. And one high profile DVD-only release.

Long awaited classics come to home video…along with recent theatrical releases. There are great films…and not-so-good films. I’ll let you decide which ones are which! :D

Answer our poll…and safe shopping, RoundUppers!

Dark City and Lethal Weapon for me this week. I want Sorcerer as well, but will wait for the next Criterion 50% off sale to pick it up. Thanks as always, Mike!

Definitely High Society.
Me too.

And I decided to pre-order (again) from Deep Discount. This is starting to happen every once in a while for me.

Amazon is my usual "go to" for movie orders. And while they might eventually come down and match the DD price, I just wanted to get it ordered and done with.

'The Blues Under the Skin' looks like an interesting release slipping under the radar; I'll be picking that one up.

Pre-ordered Dark City on UHD a few weeks ago on Amazon. Now it's showing as 'we don't know if or when this item will be in stock'.

Looks like it's available from Arrow directly, and nothing on their Facebook indicates any delays. Must be an Amazon glitch.

It didn't even register with me but since it's an Arrow release, this is the more expensive "box version" so it may actually be out of print already. The good news is that if it's selling that well, a cheaper version will be available in a couple months with the same disc and just minus the box, booklet and mini-poster/pictures.

Now it's not even available on Amazon as being sold from them. Cheapest option is like $140 from a 3rd pary seller...

Yeah, it must be out of print then. It happened to other big titles like The Warriors and Inglourious Basterds and the standard releases quickly followed. Unless someone needs to have it now or needs to have a box, it's better to wait for the standard rather than buy the LE one from an eBay scalper.

I just ordered it from Arrow. Don't know why Amazon takes pre orders on product they can't fulfill.
