The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

A "down week" for me personally. I could use a break. I've purchased a ton of movies recently between th4 Twilight Time sale, Barnes & Noble sale and a bunch of new releases through Amazon.

I can definitely use the break!

Happy Fathers Day, RoundUppers!

Boy, that poster for 99 River Street would cause a firestorm if anyone tried to use that today. Given the recent brouhaha over the X-Men poster that showed Mystique being strangled, I think some people's heads might actually explode seeing a poster with a woman actually being slapped in the face by a man.

So is the MBFGW2 poster saying that Greeks aren't people?

Midnight Special will be a blind buy for me, but I have a feeling that it will go down in price quickly, so I'm holding off for now.

Thanks as always, Mike, and have a happy Father's Day!

After two weeks of multiple releases, some things I wanna pick up from TT AND a trip down this this week, it's a good thing nothing else is on my radar for a while. Time to start plowing through some of these movies...just as soon as I finish Lego Pirates of the Caribbean...

Thanks for your work, Mike. I'll probably get My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 sooner or later to go with the first one which I've had for years, but it can wait for a price drop. Nothing else of interest to me this week. I was really disappointed in Midnight Special when it was in theaters, as it was the first film directed by Jeff Nichols that I did not absolutely love, and in fact I really didn't like it very much at all.

Thanks for the Father's Day/Weekly RoundUp, Mike.

I had requested 99 River Street to review (a gripping noir I saw on TCM for the first time a few months ago), but it hasn't yet arrived. I know another reviewer has requested Rollercoaster, so that may be forthcoming.

So...walked into Half Price Books looking for some CD's. Walked out with Lost S1 and S2 on BD for $7.99 each.

Dang these deals...now I'm off to some Twilight Time sale items and Intrada CD's...

–Best Buy also has the following titles on sale for $7.99 (all Blu-ray unless otherwise noted): ... The Shawshank Redemption

Shawshank was only $6.99 at my Best Buy when I was there last week. I wonder if they marked it up $1 this week for the "sale"?

Bumping this thread because I just now noticed Lucky Stiff in the DVD grid from last week. While I appreciate Mike's work in putting it together, I am so accustomed to buying Blu-ray all the time that I often don't look over the DVD grid throughly. I never thought I would see the day that this film would receive a disc release, and while I would rather have Blu-ray, I'll take it on DVD. I saw this at local film festival almost two years ago now and, while I can't say it was a great movie or anything even approaching that, I would be lying if I said I didn't have a giant grin on my face for basically the entire running time, and I would recommend a viewing to anybody who likes ridiculous musical comedy fun. The composers of the score also wrote music for Anastasia, as well as Ragtime (the musical based on the novel) and the Broadway stage version of Rocky.
