The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Thank you, Mike!

Because I'm not 4K equipped, I don't need these versions of Jaws or Parasite. So, no new discs for me this week. That's fine, because the last couple weeks have been very busy and I've got plenty of new stuff to watch between those new releases, a couple catalog items I recently splurged on, and my recent discs that came in from the Twilight Time sale.

But I am getting a new book that might be of interest to some people here. Burn is the new novel by Patrick Ness, who wrote both the novel and then the screenplay for the film adaptation of A Monster Calls, which was released a while back. He picked me up as a fan from that movie, which is one of my favorites of the last few years, and I've gotten all of his new books since. This one is in no way related to that one, other than they share the same author, but it's not a sequel or prequel or anything. Still, I remember the film having some other fans here, so I wanted to mention this in case anyone else would like to know. I'm very much looking forward to getting it. Burn takes place in 1950s America, only with dragons, and I feel like that's such an exciting idea.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

Not much on the agenda for me this week. Jaws is a wonderful movie, but I don't watch it often enough to justify another purchase. The Blu-ray I have will do me just fine for now. Later, I may spring for a $5 4K streaming version.

I'll be picking up Jaws and Watchmen (an amazingly good mini-series sequel to the comic book) this week.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)
Agree on Watchmen. Forgot to look at the bd table! I may hold out hope for a 4K release but I’m glad it got a bd release.

I'll have to check this out. I'm a sucker for most anything with dragons.

Never say never but I think if there isn't a 4K disc now, it ain't happening.
Here’s what gives me hope: Parasite. The BD was released a month or so ago. And now the 4K.

Another glimmer of hope: a 4K is on preorder for July in Germany.

As a wise man once said,“So you’re telling me there’s a chance...”

Jaws and Short Treks...they should be here by Thursday.

Also picked up an Alexa for the car which should be here today. I mean, ya know, I gotta keep Amazon in business somehow...

I rarely pay extra for Steelbooks...but Amazon has no ETA for my Jaws 4K order, and my local Best Buy had Steelbook available for pickup tomorrow (today) so I canceled the Amazon and signed up for the $5 extra steelbook case. Why not. It's a Coronacation present to myself. :D
