The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

After last week’s bonanza of a HUGE slate of new releases, we are back to slim pickings this week.

But, maybe the right title is at hand for you!

Always exercise safe shopping, RoundUppers.

As always, thank you for your work, Mike! :)

But, maybe the right title is at hand for you!
The Seed of the Sacred Fig is my right title. It is one of my favorite movies from last year. I was fortunate to see it twice theatrically and was just stunned both times. It is not an easy watch, but it is brilliantly done and essential cinema. I will gladly add it to my collection. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested, although it might be better suited as a rental than a blind purchase due to its serious nature. Here is the trailer for anyone not already familiar with it.

I'm surprised that Amazon is charging less for The Seed of the Sacred Fig (which only made $860,140 total theatrically) than they are for the much more successful Paddington in Peru ($45 million theatrically.) Sometimes pricing just doesn't make sense.

As a side note, I'm also looking forward to Parents Weekend by Alex Finlay for this week. Finlay has quickly become one of my always reliable favorite authors and this is my most anticipated book release of the year. Obviously, I haven't read it yet because it comes out on May 6, but I have read and would recommend all of Finlay's other work. Parents Weekend not a movie (yet) so there's nothing for you to put in the Roundup. But it is a cool thing for this week so I wanted to mention it.

Amazon has lowered the price of The Seed of the Sacred Fig to $15.99.

It was $17.99 when @Mike Frezon prepared the grid.

Again, I highly recommend the film.
