The busy season is upon us, RoundUppers!

This first week of May brings us a wide assortment of interesting titles.

I'm interested in Ordinary Love (a DVD-only release) and maybe An Inspector Calls. Interestingly, I still believe was listed as one of the best selling titles at all three of our featured retailers and It is a title I have never heard before.

And, we've got an Eiza Gonzalez title in this week's RoundUp. Just sayin'!

Hopefully my local Best Buy actually carries some of these titles. I would have picked up movies curbside recently but my store hasn't been carrying the titles I wanted to buy. They are titles that they would have definitely usually stocked.

I saw Tea with the Dames in theaters a while back. It was an interesting watch but I don't feel the need to buy it. It would be worth a rental if you are a fan of those actresses though. My arthouses played it in October 2018, so I've got to say I'm a bit surprised the Blu-ray release took this long.

No new releases for me this week as I'm saving up for a big week on the 19th.

I did get the review of A Thousand Clowns posted today.

I've got Mask of Zorro on preorder and I'd love to see the price point move down a little bit, but I have time to make a final decision.

If you end up getting this, can you let us know about the new extras? I'm curious if they will be on the included Blu-ray or on the 4K copy only. I never upgraded my old DVD and would love to see the new extras, but as I have no plans to go 4K in the near future, those would only be accessible to me if they are included on the Blu disc as well. If they are not, then I can just get the existing Blu-ray.

For sure. Amazon currently projects a delivery date of May 7, so we'll see.

I was slated to review this, but most of the studios are having difficulty shipping copies out to reviewers due to the pandemic. There were a LOT of other titles I was slated to review this week, too, and those have not yet arrived, and I'm not holding my breath.

I Still Believe is the story of Christian Rock star Jeremy Camp and how the early death of his wife inspired him to write the title song, which was a chart topper.

Additionally to what Todd said, I Still Believe was theatrically released on March 13 on what would become the worst-attended weekend in years due to the growing concern about the virus. Theaters started closing in the following days, so it didn't have time to make much of an impact, which might be part of why it didn't register with you. I'm not interested in faith-based films, but I remember seeing the trailer a lot in the months leading up to what ended up being its abbreviated release.

Yeah, the only chance for me to have seen that (or Bloodshot or The Hunt) was on Thursday night. The theaters closest to me were all closed that Friday.

An Inspector Calls on preorder since it was announced. I’ll be glad to retire my region 2 copy.

That's interesting. My arthouse closed that Sunday, ahead of being ordered to do so, but the chains followed later in the following week. The last movie.I saw in theaters was Onward on its opening day, but theoretically I had a few more chances than you did to go see those. I wouldn't have seen them anyway, even if there was no pandemic, but it's sort of funny that Friday the 13th was the beginning of the end for theaters for the time being. Unlucky, indeed.

My county closed down on March 13 so the local AMC and an independent theater had no choice. There's a Regal that I frequent in the next county and they stayed open a few more days so I technically could have seen any of those movies there but my county shutting down freaked me out enough that I thought it best to stay home.

March 13 was always going to be an off week for me in terms of wide releases anyway. If there had to be a "last movie" for a while, I'm glad it was Onward on the 6th. I was very happy to see that with a visiting friend whose trip here got in right under the wire before the virus stuff really exploded. It's rare for me to be able to take a friend to a movie because all my friends are non-local, so getting to do that with a friend was a nice way to end it for a while (although I didn't know it was the last time at the time, but still.). I would be a lot more bummed right now if the virus had disrupted our plans because it's so rare that I have visitors.

Thanks, Todd. With the limited time in theaters, do we know if the film was getting good/bad reviews? Like I said, discs of the film must be doing well on pre-orders.

Well, Rotten Tomatoes has I Still Believe at 49% among critics.

But a rousing 98% among the audience.

I think it's been doing fairly well on Pay Per View and streaming rentals. Nothing near Trolls World Tour numbers, but respectable.
