The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Another week of Twilight Time releases.  Easy peasy.  Pre-order HERE and HERE.

–Another week when I cannot find a Best Buy flyer.  I was out this morning and stopped in all my usual haunts which carry the flyer on a Saturday.  Nothing.  The extra effort for no payoff is starting to piss me off.

–Best Buy Odds and Ends:  None to report.

–Target this week has an EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK RELEASE of Wonder Woman Commemorative Edition on Blu-ray.  No pricing premium for the steelbook.

–Target is also advertising EXCLUSIVE BONUS CONTENT with its Blu-ray release this week of xXx: Return of Xander Cage.  There will be 30-minutes of bonus content on what looks to be a Blu-ray disc.

–Target is also advertising the sale of copies of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ($29.99 UHD/$24.99 Blu/$17.99 DVD) and Fifty Shades Darker ($29.99 UHD/$24.99 Blu/$19.99 DVD).

–Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

I wonder if Willard holds up after all these years? It was a pretty good movie back in the day...

I'll pick up Willard and Ben this week. I'll probably wait to see if the Dracula and The Mummy sets drop in price when the Tom Cruise Mummy movie opens in a couple weeks but my impatience may get the best of me.

Thanks for the prices and most of all, thanks for the reminder to pick up Shaq Fu on the Genesis. :)

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

I'm waiting for the Twilight Time releases to arrive. I don't think Universal will be sending either of the Legacy sets for review, but it would be nice to be surprised.

Wow. That ad predates the first Best Buy in my area by two years. We got our first one in 1996. Several more followed.

Mike...you got me with that ad scan. I had to think for a good ten seconds about the Super Nintendo game in there. Nice job. :)

I ended up cancelling both Mummy and Dracula. I couldn't justify that purchase with the insane amount of movies I bought in the last month or so. Maybe I'll turn my thinking around by Friday.

Thanks, as always!

I've noticed that there isn't a printed Best Buy ad every week in my region of Southern California for some reason. The newspaper hasn't had them at all since probably December and the local stores don't have them either quite often anymore. I'm guessing they're trying to save money.
