The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Hey RoundUppers! Safe shopping!

There doesn't seem to be many good things said about the Reacher sequel...but I'm going ahead anyway. I liked that scene in the diner which was used as a trailer.

And I've got the last Blu of Pinocchio. So I think I'm good.

Me, too. I have to admit, though, that buying the new Disney release around this time every year (and also in October-ish with the fourth quarter ones) had become such a habit with the Platinum DVDs and Diamond Blu-rays, going back to 2001, that it has been a little strange not to need them anymore and I'm still not entirely used to the idea that I can pass them up. But I will.

Thanks for your work as always, Mike. Nothing else for me this week either.

Thanks Mike! I'm with Jake on Pinocchio. I have the original release and I don't really need any new one, so I'll be passing. I also tend to pass on the Disney sports/real life stories movies for some reason...I'm not really sure why. Queen of Katwe got an excellent review from my best friends, so maybe I am missing out here. Anything north of $15 is a bit rich for my blood, though.

Luckily for the collector in me (and not so lucky for the wallet), the dry spell stops the first week in February. :)

Thanks for the prices, Mike. I'm glad Masterminds came in on Friday so I could get the review up in time to make the Weekly RoundUp link.

Like Mike, I'll give Jack Reacher a try since I did like the first one well enough, and Bells Are Ringing is already pre-ordered and eagerly anticipated.

I just realized that in my rush to get the RoundUp in place, I missed a couple of items in the Best Buy portion of the "SPECIALS" section. So be sure to check them out if you read them already.

One of the big updates is that I had awkward wording in the 2nd item and I want to be clear that BB has steelbooks on both the UHD AND the Blu-ray versions of the Jack Reacher release.

And, as always, thanks in advance for any "likes" to the OP. Youse guys is da bomb!

Thanks Mike!

Just ordered "Doctor Who: Power of the Daleks" via the link.
This is a newly animated version of a Doctor Who ep featuring the second doctor from 50 years ago. Only the audio portion of the episode had survived, and the BBC had released a very poorly animated version synched to the audio about a decade ago. This newly animated version utilizes some partial modern CGI techniques and also corrects several mistakes made in the initial animation. Can't wait to finally see a proper representation of this important episode!

Nothing for me this week, though I have to admit I was a wee bit tempted to multi-dip on Pinocchio to pickup Poor Papa.
I'm hoping, but not optimistic, that Disney will release a complete Oswald collection someday.

But why the hell are they releasing Power of the Daleks on DVD only? Okay, the original show, I get that there are no gains to be made releasing it on Blu (aside from Spearhead and the McGann movie), but Power is built from the ground up as animation. And the UK is getting a Blu release, to boot!

Me, I threw in for the super sexy Steelbook version:
