The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Safe shopping, RoundUppers!

I took a flyer this week on Wagon Tracks: a 1919 silent western starring William S. Hart. I've never seen a Hart film so I'm looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about!

I'm hearing great things about The Light Between Oceans. Not sure why Amazon doesn't have it listed. I might give that a shot this week, too.

Let me thank you ahead of time for all the "likes" of the OP.

Mike,

Something is going on between Amazon and Disney. All three of the most recent Disney-controlled discs I've received to review are listed at Amazon as "Currently Not Available" so I guess they're feuding over price levels or something.

I have a couple more of this week's releases that I've requested to review but haven't arrived yet. Don't know if I'll get them or not. Can't wait to get Wait Until Dark this week, one of my all-time favorite movies and one of the all-time great thrillers.

Thanks for the RoundUp!

I've heard Suicide Squad is horrible from people I trust...but I may just get it for that $9.99 price.

Thank Mike!

That's correct, it's been going on for several weeks.

An FYI...between both of those $10 deals at BB & Target, Amazon has now dropped their price on a number of the same titles to those prices.

I finally got around to pulling the trigger on Sully at that price. I kept the safety on, however, and decided NOT to order Mechanic: Resurrection. I didn't need another film like that which would stay shrink-wrapped on my shelf without ever getting watched.

I think I might start using "The sort of picture one playgoer recommends to another" as my go-to description of a good movie.

The Target I went to only had the DVD of Florence Foster Jenkins for $10; the Blu-ray was not marked down. So, you know, caveat emptor.

As a consolation, they DID have Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie for $10, so I picked up that and Sully.

I also have Wagon Tracks and The Man Who Fell to Earth on order. In case anybody was wondering...

Thanks for the prices!

Ya know, Brian...when you said that, I had to check the Sunday ad to make sure I was right. But the ad clearly shows the Blu of Florence Foster Jenkins for $10. I checked because I thought that was the case but my local Target had only marked down the DVD, too. I wonder if we scanned the Blu if it would ring up on sale? I should have checked that.

I'm still not sure I would like the movie but it does sound like an interesting premise.

I wondered the same thing so I checked the Blu on one of their price scanners and it came up as $24.99. I suppose, if somebody really wanted it, they could take a copy of the ad to customer service and Target would likely honor it. It was an impulse item for me, though, so I'll probably just do a rental.
