The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Another week of Twilight Time releases.  You know the drill.  They can only be pre-ordered HERE and HERE.

–Best Buy, this week, has a reminder that you can pre-order movies at BestBuy.com.  In doing so, they show an EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK RELEASE coming of Doctor Strange…and an EXCLUSIVE LENTICULAR COVER of Walt Disney’s Pinocchio.

–Best Buy also has a number of 4k UHD catalog titles on sale for $19:99 this week:  Jason Bourne, The Secret Life of Pets, The Magnificent Seven, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Independence Day: Resurgence, Ghostbusters (2016).

–Best Buy Odds and Ends:  None to report.

–Target this week has an EXCLUSIVE OFFER of ONE FREE YEAR OF ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY with the purchase of The Girl on the Train this week on Blu-ray.  Not a bad deal, actually, if you like that sort of thing.

–Target is also advertising a $4 Blu-ray sale!  Titles include:  Apocalypse Now, Dances With Wolves, The Sandlot, My Cousin Vinny, Pulp Fiction and The Patriot.

–The following “Recent Releases” are listed on sale this week @ Target (all DVD unless otherwise noted):

$10.00:  My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

$12.99:  War Dogs

$14.99:  Suicide Squad (Blu), Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Magnificent Seven

$15.99:  Bad Moms

–And, Target has Dreamworks DVDs on sale:

$5:  Shrek, Penguins of Madagascar

$8:  The Croods, Peabody & Sherman, How to Train Your Dragon

$10:  Home

–Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

Hey RoundUppers!

A bunch of interesting releases this week.

I got in on a great pre-order price for the standard Blu of Girl on the Train ($15.99 @ Amazon). I think that's all I've got pre-ordered this week. I will likely be picking up Bad Day at Black Rock down the road.

Thanks for taking part in the thread. We had LOTS of good info last week on mid-week price drops.

And the reviewing crew has been in overdrive with a number of reviews on this week's titles...and more to come.

Thanks for "likes" of the OP. They are appreciated.

Shop safely!

Mike, you are an early bird with the RoundUp this week! I'm glad I got all of my scheduled discs for the 17th reviewed and posted (well, except for the Twilight Times which haven't arrived yet) so they could be included in the links. Thanks for doing that!

I have Bad Day at Black Rock on pre-order, and I see one or two other items I'll be picking up, too.

AN is a very personal choice for most people. I don't really like "gangster" films so I really like AN much more than Coppola's Godfather films. If the weather and my knee were better I'd be down at Target buying a few copies at that price for gifts.

I kinda blew the disposable cash (post Costa Rica vacation) for the first half of the month yesterday at FYE: two seasons of True Blood and Flash S1 on BD for $38. I may stop into Target on Friday aka pay day to see if there's anything worth getting for $4.

Thanks Mike!
