The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Hey RoundUppers!

Two wonderful days of a January thaw here in the Northeast US this week...and we're already back in the deep freeze!

Nothing much for me this week.

But Amazon has a nice price on their 4k pre-order of Wonder (due out 2-13-18) of $22.96. And Amazon has the same price on that 4k release of Earth: One Amazing Day (due 1-23-18): $22.96.

Safe shopping everyone!

Always ready for another Agatha Christie adaptation though I haven't read much about this one (Crooked House). I'll eventually get the new Blade Runner, too.

Thanks, Mike!

I'll be picking up Better Call Saul: S3 and Matinee this week. I'll get Blade Runner 2049 at some point.

I don't need to own Happy Death Day but it's a fun horror movie.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

I haven’t heard a lot about it either and what I did hear was mixed. I’m still planning to pick it up as a blind buy.

I also want to get Blade Runner 2049 on UHD, but I want to wait until it comes down in price a bit. Unfortunately, I’ve really been wanting to see it again.

Thank you for your work as always, Mike! I really loved Blade Runner 2049 and look forward to adding it to my collection, but I'm not going to put up with this $24.99 BS from WB again. I can wait. It will probably be $15 inside six months. So, nothing for me this week.

So my week looks like I am getting "Mant" and i hear it comes with a bonus feature, Joe Dante's Matinee

Hopefully the equipment i have at the house will be able to do an "Atomo Vision" presentation and my sound system has a "Rumble Rama" setting.

Blade Runner 2049 4K UHD for me this week, and I don't mind paying thirty bucks for it. One of the best films of 2017 IMO.

I stopped by Best Buy today and they have a Best Buy Exclusive 3D for Blade Runner 2049
Based on the post about a 3D version of Blade Runner 2049 being available at Best Buy, I stopped by to purchase one yesterday, only to find out it was out of stock all over town. I eventually ordered it online, but am puzzled about why 3D has been abandoned when the demand still seems to be there.

Hoo boy, Dennis! That's the $64-thousand-dollar question over in the 3-D subforum!

What's weird is that I don't recall seeing any mention of a Best Buy 3-D exclusive on BR2049 in their Sunday flyer (unless I completely missed it).

Mike,

I picked up the flyer to check for that reason. It was not in the flyer, but there was an empty space for it on the sales display. Puzzling for sure.

This makes me very interested to see if Best Buy will start offering 3D exclusives on future releases, like the upcoming Pixar “Coco” The amusing Thing was they had an exclusive Regular Blu Ray Steelbook, an Exclusive 4K Steelbook, and an Exclusive 3D Blu Ray. Milking all of the formats but not giving us ONE Best Buy Exclusive that includes all three formats. Oh well, I guess those of us that like 3D should be happy we got that option at all.

My Best Buy had a dozen copies of Blade Runner 2049 3D, but none of the "exclusive" 4K steelbooks. Didn't even have a shelf spot for that one.

My arthouse is still playing Loving Vincent daily. Either we've had an unusually long run of it, or the disc is coming out unusually soon. I'm not particularly interested in the film since Van Gough is not my thing, but this was surprising to notice. Good for it that it appears to have done well, though.

Geostorm is listed in most places as a 1/23 release, but Best Buy claims to have delivered my 3D copy to my house today (their web site indicated a 1/16 release). No idea if it's in stores this week or not (though I may be the only person around interested in buying it :P).

A couple people on Bluray have delivery of Geostorm 3D already so it's certainly possible. Friday prerelease wouldn't be too far outside normal though Sat is about the earliest I've ever gotten delivery
