NEW 2021 1080p HD remaster from 4K Scan of the original negative!

THE PAJAMA GAME (1957)
Run Time 101 Minutes
Subtitles English SDH
Audio Specs DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 – English
Aspect Ratio 1.85:1 16x9 WIDESCREEN
Product Color COLOR
Disc Configuration BD 50
SPECIAL FEATURES: Deleted musical sequence with Doris Day “The Man Who Invented Love”, Original Theatrical Trailer (HD)

Labor and management at the Sleeptite Pajama Factory aren’t sleeping much lately: A proposed 71⁄2-cent hourly wage increase is why – and a strike may result. But negotiations here involve snappy stars, terrific tunes and dynamic dances as Doris Day, John Raitt and a Broadway-seasoned cast play The Pajama Game. Songs by the Damn Yankees duo of Richard Adler and Jerry Ross and choreography by Bob Fosse generate lots of “Steam Heat,” all whipped together delightfully under the direction of two musical masters of stage and screen, George Abbott and Stanley Donen. Besides “Steam Heat” (showcasing the quirky brilliance of dancer Carol Haney), catch “Hey There,” “I’m Not at All in Love,” “Hernando’s Hideaway,” “Once-a-Year Day” and other all-time-great numbers. For peerless entertainment, negotiate no further. Nothing’s quite the same as The Pajama Game!

Been waiting for this one for a long time and with the rights issues was wondering if it would ever happen. Hallelujah! A great start to 2021. GIRL CRAZY, STRIKE UP THE BAND, THE PIRATE, THE HARVEY GIRLS, PAJAMA GAME and GOOD NEWS. What a great musical line-up form Warners Archives...Now about the 1951 SHOW BOAT....

More Doris Day on Blu is always a cause for celebration. Hopefully WAC will soon announce My Dream is Yours and On Moonlight Bay, as the new transfers now streaming on HBO Max are astonishingly beautiful. Totally WAC material.

Yes, you're right, but if I were only going to get one in January, they picked the one I wanted more.

Never thought I'd see this one on blu. The DVD transfer is pretty mediocre so a spiffed up transfer is most welcome.

This is my once a year day to celebrate and mark the debut of a truly great American musical. More Doris Day in hi-def. How could that possibly be a bad thing?!?!?
