VIZIO has announced the launch of ten new lifestyle, DIY, fashion, travel and comedy channels to SmartCast TV users in the US. As from now, SmartCast TV users can get celebrity and lifestyle news from Vanity Fair, Young Hollywood and WIRED, get fashion info from GQ, Glamour and Vogue, and receive food and travel news from Tastemade and Condé Nast Traveler. There is also comedy care of Funny or Die, access to the cult TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000, and revived games shows on Game Show Network.

VIZIO recently announced 30 new free streaming channels which complement the WatchFree service featuring a large number of streaming TV channels of news, movies and sports. The company says that as TV usage continues to surge – and with interest in “comfort food TV” being at an all-time high – SmartCast TV’s free ad supported apps and streaming TV services grew 88% during the last week of April compared to the first week of March, before stay-at-home advisories changed viewing behaviors.

Attention to free ad-supported TV channels and apps was also up 108% in April 2020 versus the first week of March, as people develop new viewing habits and discover new content options.

In addition to free content, SmartCast provides access Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, YouTube, NBC, CBS All Access and YouTubeTV. It also offers support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast built-in for streaming, controlling, and sharing content from phones, tablets or laptops. For more information visit VIZIO.
