Viotek releases new monitors for ‘hardcore gamers’

Computer peripherals brand Viotek has released two new gaming monitors, the GFT27CXB and GFV27DAB, the company’s first displays with refresh rates above 144Hz aimed at “professional gamers and media buffs.”

The $290 GFT27CXB 27” 1ms 240Hz 1080P offers a 240Hz refresh rate for smooth and “buttery” motion graphics, a 1ms response time for lag-free gaming, and a widescreen (16:9) TN panel with a claimed 99% of the sRGB color gamut. Viotek says the 240Hz monitor sports the fastest refresh rate on the market, with better gaming fluidy, especially for CS:GO, PUBG and Fortnite titles.

“Viotek strives to bring extreme value to the market. Our goal is to make high-performance gaming products accessible to a wider audience. We always use Grade A panels and components. For this reason we can offer a full three year zero dead pixel guarantee. V 4Victory,” says Viotek VP Brett Barbour.

With AMD FreeSync and LFC (low framerate compensation) gamers should expect smoother motion across the entire refresh range up to 240Hz, even when the framerate falls below 48Hz. An adaptive algorithm adjusts the refresh rate to smooth out jerkiness from sudden drops in framerate. This helps with faster, motion-heavy sections of games, but also during quieter, slower moments, according to Viotek.

The company has also announced the $290 GFV27DAB 27” 1ms 144Hz 1440P gaming monitor with 1.7x the pixels of a full-HD monitor. It includes a fully adjustable stand and HDR. It also offers a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother motion graphics, a 1ms response time for lag-free gaming (3ms w/out OD) on a widescreen (16:9) VA panel with a claimed 99% of the sRGB color gamut.

The monitor includes the Viotek gaming suite with user-accessible overdrive, GAMEPLUS targeting cursors, AMD FreeSync ready via adaptive sync, RTS/FPS optimized gaming modes, an anti-glare screen coating, and specific pre-set gaming modes.
