Let's hope that's what they're doing.Stephen_J_H said:So... a single disc with three cuts, four commentaries and special features? Can anyone say seamless branching?
The so-called "Preview Version" is the cut that was on VHS for years. It was unearthed in 1976 and is NOT Welles' original cut.Garysb said:I was unaware that there was a preview version of the film. Wouldn't the preview version be Welles' original cut? How does it differ from the reconstruction version ?
Restored Version at the very least should be a new transfer from the recent 4K restoration.Dick said:I am assuming that for anyone who owns the superb UK release (which is a 2-disc set), this would be redundant...
4K restoration ? Did I miss anything ? I don't think so.... As far as I know all masters date back to 2008 and 2010...and none of which is 4K, not even close; in fact all final masters of that title are in HD.Brandon Conway said:Restored Version at the very least should be a new transfer from the recent 4K restoration.
ToE on (the U.S.) Blu-ray is certainly not of that "endevour", if it is already finished. The US version is merely different to the MoC or the other international Universal releases (such as France) in color [gradation] timing - and, of course, encode.Brandon Conway said:See the last question in the article here: http://entertainment.time.com/2013/03/05/restoring-schindlers-list-a-qa-with-film-restoration-expert-michael-daruty/

If Beaver's caps are accurate, the framing is different on the US release.Torsten Kaiser said:ToE on (the U.S.) Blu-ray is certainly not of that "endevour", if it is already finished.
